Eren's POV

"I wanna go and play at the playground..." I whined a bit to Daddy. Mommy was now sleeping at home with Iris. Daddy didn't like it, but it was alright. He brought me along to work, but now... I got bored quickly. "Daddy... please..."

He sighed heavily, turning towards me. "Eren, I can't do that right now. As much I want to take you out to the playground... I can't. Bad guy Farlan is giving me too much work at the moment. Since he's somewhat free... can you ask him to take you out? Please Eren- just this once."

I nodded my head, "Okay..."

"Eren, I promise- next time, I will have the time. But for now... not now."

"You promise...?"

He gives me a kiss on the forehead, smiling softly. "I promise. Now, you can do me a favor and bother Farlan for me. Okay?"

"Okay!" I ran out of the office, running straight over to Mr. Farlan's office area. A few people got scared when I was running around, but they were all okay. Mikasa came on by, following me to Mr. Farlan.

Not even a second- Mr. Farlan knew I was coming. I didn't even poke my head into the room- as I usually do. "What is it, Eren?"

Shrinking back, I didn't know he was a better superhero! He can read minds! "I-I wanna go out on the playground."

"Can't your dad do it?"

"Says he's too busy doing your work."

Mr. Farlan nodded his head, giving a weird smile. "So... that's what he said to you? Shame... not my fault that he had accumulated that much work playing around with you and the other kids. Such a shame."

"What was that, Mr. Farlan?" I asked with my head tilting a bit. "Are you saying that my daddy is wrong? But he's never, ever wrong! He's a superhero, Mr. Farlan!"

He smiled and chuckled. When he spoke to me, he leaned really, really close to me. "I'll tell you a close secret among us superheroes, Eren." Then, he looks around to make sure that none of the other superheroes heard us speak. "We are all secretly human. Even superheroes may be wrong. It's just how superheroes are. Keep that a secret, okay?"

I nodded, smiling and giggling. "Okay! Not a word!"

"Now... it was the playground?"

"Yes! Yes! Yes!" Mikasa soon came in, standing next to me. "M-Mikasa, do you also wanna go to the playground and play?"

She nods her head softly, "Y-Yes..."

So then, I turned back to Mr. Farlan, continuing to smile brightly. "Please?!"

Mr. Farlan gave a soft chuckle, closing his eyes as he takes a deep breath. Once he opened them back up, he turns off his computer screen and gets up from his seat. Taking a few stretches, he smiled softly at me and Mikasa. "Alright- let's go and play at the playground."

"Yay!"

"Tag!" I giggled as I tapped on Mikasa's shoulder. She sighs a bit, giggling as well. "You're it now, Mikasa! Can't catch me!"

Running freely into the wind, I didn't notice that I ran off the playground. "Excuse me, little boy." I looked up to see a very, very tall man. He was bigger than Daddy himself! But he had blonde hair. "I'm a bit lost."

"Lost?"

"I'm looking for... how do I say this to you...? Child services around here?"

"Oh!" I perked up, nodding my head and pointing at the building. "Just go through the front desk, sir. The kind lady there should help you."

The man chuckled a bit, patting my head. It was... scary. It was rough and it began to hurt my head a bit. "Thanks, son. Where are your parents?"

As I tried to answer him, I rubbed my head. It really hurt... too bad Daddy wasn't here to kiss it goodbye. It always makes me feel better when he kisses it. Same thing with Mommy. Their kisses always heals our wounds! "W-Well... Mommy is at home... and Daddy's working..."

"Who's watching you then?"

"A friend..." Daddy always told me to not talk to strangers... but he was asking for help. Daddy always told me that it's always okay to help strangers... but don't tell any names. "He was watching us at the playground..."

The man nodded his head, walking into the building. "Okay then. Should I help you get back to the playground."

"No thanks- I got it."

Before I ran back to Mr. Farlan and Mikasa, the man spoke to me a few more times. "What's your name?"

"I-I can't tell you... you're a stranger..."

He knelt on the ground, chuckling a bit. "Would I be a stranger if I told you my name?" It was very... scary... "My name is Erwin, son. What's yours?"
