Chapter twenty-five

 

Once I finished getting dressed I sat on my bed and grabbed out my phone. I didn’t know if I should call Luke and tell him to come over because he could be with his mum. I wonder how Luke is going with that whole situation anyway. I scrolled down my instagram page and sighed as I saw nothing that interesting. I decided to go down stairs and get a glass of water. My legs were still wobbling because of what had happened earlier. I grabbed a glass and drank my water. 

“Hey” I heard a whisper. His words surprised me so I dropped my glass and the impact caused the glass to shatter. “Holy fuck, sorry” Luke quickly spoke as he helped me pick up the bits of glass. “No don’t be sorry” I smiled and looked at him. “You just took me by surprise- OUCH.” I looked down to my finger and saw that I had a little cut on it. Well great. “Here” Luke grabbed my hand and sucked on the tiny bit of blood, which I found super attractive. Damn it Luke, damn it. “What If I had a disease,” I laughed. “Well luckily you don’t” He smirked. After cleaning up the unexpected mess I sat on the couch and Luke followed. “How was your day with your mum?” His breathe hitched but he just looked over to me and let out a sigh. “Eh it was okay, she was really really surprised to see me and she still hasn’t got over the fact that I was the one that put her into Jail so long ago. I know she still hates me for that but we did start talking and we did get along. Just taking baby steps. She can see that I have changed but she doesn’t believe it. She thinks I’m going to go psycho one day. Which I might” He let out mumbling the last part. I nodded and rubbed his shoulder. “I’m so proud of you for going and speaking to her, and I know for a fact she can never hate any of her children” I informed. “And no way in my books you are going back to what you were” I sternly spoke. “I don’t mind if she doesn’t forgive me to be honest” Luke sighed. “Oh and I hope not, I don’t want to be what I was” He weakly smiled. I moved my position and rested my head on his lap; he started to play with my hair. “I love you,” I whispered to him. “I love you too, that’s why I want you to meet my mum” He smiled. I laughed at his simple response. “I have already met your mum, I promised to get her out of that hell hole remember.” “I know, but I told her I had a girlfriend and imagine how happy she is going to be when she knows its you.” His words made me melt inside and become super duper happy.  I nodded and we were both just silent. I didn’t know if I should bring up what happened with jess, but I guess I had to tell him sometime. “What are you thinking about?” He asked as if he knew I was keeping something from him.

“Well how did you know I was thinking about something?” I laughed. “Because you always slightly lift you eyebrows up and cause little crease lines on your forehead” he spoke while dragging his thumb across my forehead. “I do have news, bad news well uh not that bad but yeah” I spoke with worry. “What’s wrong, are you okay?” Luke quickly spoke. “Yeah I’m fine, its just Jess came to see me again.” His nostrils flared and his fists clenched. My hand shifted to find his and I interlocked our fingers together. “Luke, don’t, she isn’t worth it but she does want to talk to you, and if you don’t she is going snap my legs but don’t worry about it because she wont come near me.” His eyes widened. “Shit I knew I shouldn’t of said anything I’m sorr-” “I have to talk to her” he spoke sternly. I shook my head. “No, you don’t have to” “Sammy yes I do, I’m not letting anything happen to you, I’ll contact her today.” I shrugged my shoulder slightly. Guess there was no changing his mind. “I don’t want you to get hurt that’s all” I sighed. “And that is why I’m going to talk to her because I feel the same way about you and the people I love.” He was right; it was cute how he cared so much. “Can I come with?” I asked. “No, I don’t want what happened last time” He spoke sternly. I nodded and groaned in annoyance. I cupped his face and looked into his eyes. “Nothing will happen to you right? I mean your always going to stay near me” I quickly spoke. “Always” He breathed out. I pecked his lips and he smiled. “I should go and visit Jess and after that I’ll take you to see my mum.” He spoke. I nodded slowly and sighed. “Be careful okay” I spoke sternly before he left my room leaving me all alone and worried.
