A Promise

After the Calvary Battle you were given time to take a break from the Sports Festival. You were hanging out with Izuku, Ochaco, Tokoyami, and Iida, wanting to get more acquainted with them. Most of the conversations you had involved Izuku asking rapid questions about your quirk. You didn't mind though knowing that's just how he acts.

"Y/N so.. basically anything backwards you say happens almost instantly?" Izuku asked.

"Uhh yeah! Sorta like that! But spells require energy to perform and also lots of concentration. So performing an incredibly hard spell can take a lot from me. That's why I don't always rely on them. I have my combat skills and my mana energy powers too." you replied.

You can see Izuku intensely write down his notes.

"Wow.. You were really strong during the Calvary Battle Y/N! I know that one day, you'll become an amazing pro hero." Iida praised you.

"T-Thanks... But I couldn't have done it without my team." you said, still a bit flattered from his compliment.

At the corner of your eye, you saw Todoroki approach your group.

"Y/N, can we talk in private please?" he asked.

"Uhh.. Sure Halfie." you replied.

'Halfie?!?' Izuku, Ochaco, Iida and Tokoyami thought.

'I wonder what he wants to talk about? Is it about him using his dad's quirk?'

"So.. what do you want to talk about Halfie?" you asked when you and Todoroki were in a much more private place.

"During the match.... When one of your illusions charged at my team. I felt something........ and I used my old man's quirk." he said as he looked at his left arm, as if it was cursed.

"When we were kids, I told you what my dad did to me and my family... I swore I would never use that bastard's quirk." he said.

He was right. You were pretty much the only person he could trust with his personal problems.

"But... Its your quirk, isn't it?" you said and Todoroki looked immediately at you with a surprised face.

"Its your quirk, its not your dad's but its yours right? Listen Halfie.. I am so sorry that before I wasn't able to help you. But now I'm here.... and I promise that whatever challenges or obstacles that you run into. We'll overcome it together." you said. Emphasizing the word 'promise'.

Todoroki was completely shocked on what you said. You then gave him a tight hug. A light blush spread across his face as you were hugging him. He suddenly remembered the times that you were affectionate to him when you both were younger.
