Nighteye was trying every interrogation techniques on the henchmen that you and Courtney previously encountered. To his dismay, none of them spoke about Overhaul's plans and whereabouts. You still wondered how Derick escaped. You were unfamiliar with the type of magic he was using.
"So... any good news?" you asked Nighteye as he got out of the interrogation room.
"No... they are being very persistent."
"I can maybe use a truth spell. I promise that it won't inflict any type of pain or mental torture onto them." you suggested and Nighteye agreed. You head into the interrogation room.
"You better stop wasting your time kid. We won't tell you anything." one of the henchmen said. You raised your left palm forward and used your spell.
"We'll see about that. Trulb tuo ruoy snalp!" (Blurt out your plans)
"We bought those magical items for Derick because he wanted to summon a demon named Trigon and Ovberhaul's base is located under his house." the henchmen plainly said thanks to your spell.
"You idiot! Why did you tell him!"
You left the room and told Nighteye and your friends everything.
"So... he is planning to summon a demon named... Trigon?" Nighteye questioned. He wasn't really buying the whole demonic magic stuff.
"Yes... I know it sounds crazy but it might be possible. I was unfamiliar of the magic Derick was using." you stated.
"If that's the case. We should prioritize on finding him. Then we will proceed in pursuing the Overhaul case again." Nighteye concluded and everyone agreed.
"I can pinpoint his hiding spot with a locator spell. Every magic quirk user has a mystic trace that I can find. It's better if you guys join in when things get messy. We want to have the element of surprise on our side." you stated.
"Oh and Y/N." Stargirl spoke up.
"What?"
"Be careful. This might be our toughest challenge yet."
"I will. And when the time comes, I'm sure I'll know what to do." you replied. You then went outside and began to focus.
"Etacol kcireD!" (Locate Derick!) you can see a trail of red energy leading outside the city.

You continue to follow the trail and it eventually lead you into a old abandoned house, very far from the city. It looked like it used to be a graveyard. The place was a bit foggy too.
You were on guard. You spot a small group of Overhaul's henchmen just outside the house.

You knocked them out by throwing your exploding mana spheres at them. You then entered the house and you can see Derick, who had the room lit with candles and a magical symbol written on a floor. It looked like he was performing some sort of twisted rituals. You can also see the magical items he got from before, scattered across the room.
"Y/N.... its good to see you again. You probably think that I'm doing this for revenge. You are right, but before things get chaotic. Let me give you a brief magic history to further explain why I'm doing this." Derick spoke up.
"You see my friend.... Magic is not actually a quirk."
'Excuse me what?'
"Magic came from our ancient elders and it didn't originate from this world. That's why magic users are known to be powerful. Mana is a type of magical element that your family inherited, while my family uses dark magic. WE are meant to rule this world Y/N. I'm giving you a chance to take my side and we will be both unstoppable! With the help of Trigon!" Derick added.
You were a bit shocked, you didn't know if he was actually telling the truth about the origins of Magic. Though a part of you believed him because your knowledge about magic was very limited and you didn't really study about it. But it still didn't change your mind about stopping him. You raised your hands and used a spell.

"I won't let you! Gnorts Sdniw!" (Strong Winds) a strong rush of wind pushed Derick into the wall, he grunted in pain. You also used the wind to send his magical items flying out a window, in an attempt to stop his ritual.
"That won't work! The ritual is already done!" Derick said as a portal opened on the ground. A powerful shockwave of red energy was emitted from the portal, completely destroying the house and blowing both you and Derick away. Trigon himself entered through the portal. The sky started to turn into a crimson red color.

"Behold! The mighty Trigon!" Derick said as he got up. You looked at Trigon in horror. Stargirl was right, this was gonna be your biggest challenge yet.
