An Explosive Match

You were in the waiting room, thinking of a strategy. Your next match was up against Bakugou, this time you were a little tensed up. You knew what he was capable of. His brutal strength frightened you a little bit. You saw the door open and it was none other than Bakugou himself enter the room.

"What are you doing here?" you asked a bit confused.

"I came here to tell you that I won't be holding back during our match and so should you!" Bakugou said with determination and his usual anger in his voice.

"When you fought that Nomu thing during the U.S.J. incident... I want you to use that raw strength today!" He added.

You were shocked, you suddenly remembered the time that you were telekinetically choking and crushing that Nomu during the U.S.J. attack. But nonetheless, you understood him, he just wanted you to give it your all.

"Your right... I won't hold back and I'll do everything it takes to win the Sports Festival!" you replied with pure determination in your voice.

Bakugou was surprised for a bit, he didn't predict that you would reply with so much positivity.

"Tch, you better." he said to you. And with that he left the room. Leaving you to think about your strategy.

'So Bakugou's quirk mostly relies on his sweat.... Wait I think I know a spell that is perfect for him.'

It was finally the match. You and Bakugou were already on the stage. Both of you were staring to each other's eyes as you were warming up.

"Ready.... Start!" Midnight announced.

Bakugou used his explosion and propelled himself towards you. He tried grabbing you but you were able to dodge his hand and you delivered a Mana charged palm strike at his jaw.

He stumbled back a bit. He made a 'tch' sound with his teeth and he charged straight at you again.

You threw multiple mana charged jab punches at him. He was able to endure them, which surprised you a bit. You followed up with a kick, he was able to avoid it and grab your leg.

You tried pulling your leg away, but his grip was much more stronger. He used this chance to blast you with his explosions. You yelled in pain.

He threw explosions after explosions at you. You weren't able to block them and you were knocked back a bit and you fell on the ground. Smoke started to fill the stage, due to his previous explosions.

'I won't have a chance of winning if he can he succeed in tiring me out. I need to end this. Now!'

You saw him about to throw another large explosion at you but you quickly raised your right palm and used a spell.

"Ekoms emoceb a dlofdnilb!" (Smoke become a blindfold) the smoke from the arena started to wrap itself around Bakugou's eyes, effectively blinding him.

You stand up and concentrated. You used another spell.

"Retaw tej!" (Water jet) a jet of water suddenly popped out of the ground and you aimed it towards Bakugou. He wasn't able to evade it due to the blindfold spell you used on him. The water hit him hard, he fell to the ground on his back due to the force.

You felt exhaustion taking over your body. Water related spells are hard to do when you don't have any water sources nearby.

He got up and he tried to make an explosion. He swung his hand but nothing happened. He swung again and nothing happened.

"What the hell did you do to me?!?" Bakugou furiously asked.

"I did a little research and I found out that your quirk relies heavily on your sweat. *Pant* All I needed was to douse you with water to completely neutralize your quirk." you replied almost out of breath.

At this point you can see Bakugou's rage coming off him. He tried charging at you. But you telekinetically lift him and sent him out of bounds. Not wanting for this match to last longer.

"Bakugou is out of bounds! Y/N advances to the final round!" Midnight announced.

"Dammit I'll kill you!" Bakugou said while getting up. But before he could get a chance to get close to you Midnight released some sort of pink mist that was able to put Bakugou into a deep sleep.

'Glad that was over with'

You sighed in relief. You head to Recovery Girl's office to regain your energy. But you ran into a certain pro hero that was blocking your path.

"Endeavor... What do you want now?"
