You witness Ojiro and a Class B student withdraw from the competition because of their pride and all that stuff.
After watching an intense match of Izuku and a dude with a brainwashing quirk and a brutal match between Todoroki and Sero, it was finally your turn. You were up against Mina Ashido. You were confident in this match since you knew that you can overpower her both in long and in close range combat.
"And begin!" Midnight announced.
You were about to cast a spell but Mina quickly fired multiple shots of her acid at you. Forcing you to dodge.

You countered by throwing your mana disks at her. She did a couple of flips, dodging some but you eventually were able to read her movements and was able to land a couple of hits. She tried to block them but was eventually knocked back a bit, due to the force from your spheres.
"Your gonna need to do better than that Y/N!" Mina yelled to you as she was getting back up.
She was using using her acids as mobility by skating on them. You threw more of your mana projectiles but this time she was able to dodge all of them successfully, which might I add suprised you by a bit and closed the distance between the two of you.
She threw a barrage of punches at you but you were able to swiftly evade them all, while backing up a bit. You wanted to make sure that you were near out of bounds.
"Y/N IS NEARLY OUT OF BOUNDS! WILL MINA ASHIDO OVERPOWER HIM OR DOES HE HAVE SOME SORT OF PLAN?!?" Present Mic announced.
At this point the crowd was getting riled up from the battle.
"I'm gonna win!" she said as she threw a punch at you. You were able to dodge it and you grabbed her arm. You quickly threw mana disks at the pressure points of her legs and arms to prevent her from either kicking or using her acids. She grunted in pain.
"I don't think so!" you said as you threw Mina over your your shoulder, completely throwing her out of her bounds too.
"Mina Ashido is out of bounds! Y/N Zatara advances to the next round!" Midnight announced and the crowd went wild.
You reach out a hand to Mina and she gladly accepted it.
"Your acid quirk is incredible Mina! You were so fast that my mana projectiles couldn't even hit you!" you said to Mina.
"Thanks Y/N! But I got a bit to cocky! Hehe." she replied. Even though she loss she still had her positive attitude.
You two immediately joined the rest of your classmates, since no one was that injured badly. And immediately your friends started to praise you.
"Y/N! That was so manly when you reach out a hand to Mina." Kirishima exclaimed.
"Y/N! You truly are as good as the pros!" Tokoyami praised.
