"...Ah..!"

A pair of deep Crimson eyes jerked open, and a tan man woke up from a mid afternoon nap he had been having. This nap however, was pulled to a halt when his dream got a little weird.

His dearest friend, who had died years ago, Heba, had come to him in this dream. He...seemed desperate and really needed his help.

Well, it wasn't him who needed help...it was someone else.

...his brother.

Or step brother at that.

He sat up, rubbing his temples, and rolling his fingers across a scar he had from battle beforehand, less than a year ago. He had served in the army for almost 5 years, and finally got to get back home.

However, he came home heartbroken. One of the last battles he fought before he came home was the last battle he would fight with Heba, his closest friend...

And lover.

He sighed at the thought and returned his attention to the question that he needed to ponder after the dream he had.

Heba wanted him to help someone.

But who?

And how?

Suddenly, as though Heba was still helping him, he knew exactly where to go. He had to go to the hospital. That was where he was needed, and that was where he could help the person he needed to help.

He stood up and slipped on some shoes and a jacket, heading for the door. He was uneasy about this random feeling of confidence he had but his gut told him otherwise and so, he followed it.

"Hope I know what I'm doing..." He muttered.

Yugi jumped back into his car and looked at the time. It was 3 in the afternoon. It wasn't too early, and it wasn't too late. Surely he was going to find that man, Atem, somewhere. He had to find him.

Yami's life depended on it.

He jumped into his car, cranking the ignition on and pulling out of the long driveway. He had no idea where to go to begin his search. He knew who to find, but didn't know where to find him. His thoughts were all jumbled.

Suddenly, his car phone began to ring. He looked at the caller ID that was displayed on the little bar on his car radio, seeing Mana's name. Yugi sighed, not knowing what to expect, for he never knew what he got when he talking with Mana on the phone.

He tapped the bar, answering her call.

"Yugi." She said, before he could say a single word upon answering, "Where are you?"

Yugi leaned back, tightening his grip on the steering wheel. He was sorta taken back by Mana's tone of voice and the urgency in her voice over the phone. It sent chills down his spine.

"I am just heading home..." He said, hesitantly, "Why?"

Mana seemed to be hyperventilating on the other side. She tried to speak, but she couldn't. This concerned Yugi more. He straightened up in his seat.

"Everything okay?" He asked.

"No." Mana burst almost interrupting him, "N-Nothing is okay. Not now."

Yugi tilted his head. Before he could question her again, Mana continued.

"Yami is losing it. He's almost out." Mana's voice cracked with ever word, "He...He's almost gone...c-completely...without the other blood p-packs....his time...is withering away. N-Now, he doesn't have two days..."

Yugi listened, slowly increasing his speed and making his way now to the hospital. Apparently, things were falling apart for Yami. Again.

"He has..hours." Mana swallowed, struggling to keep her voice from quivering, "T-Two at the most...he can't take anymore...he...he isn't...strong anymore....Y-Yugi...I'm scared....it's over f-for him..."

Yugi remained silent, forcing himself to remain silent so that he wouldn't let her hear how emotionally wreaked he was. He didn't want this to be happening, but he couldn't help but always think that it came back to him.

He was the cause of all this.

He bought the ticket to that concert.

He gave it to Yami and sent him to it, only getting Yami into a car accident.

Which triggered all of this to happen.

It all started with Yugi. It was his fault that Yami was fighting for his life. Yugi knew he shouldn't be thinking like this, but he didn't know if once Yami woke up...and everything was good again...if...

He would love him anymore.

Yugi did this to him. He put Yami into this condition, even almost killed him. Maybe even killed him.

Yugi sniffed at that thought. He nodded and hung up, knowing Mana had nothing else to say.

"I am t-too..." Yugi managed to say without his voice quivering.

And with that, he increased his speed and made his way to the hospital.

---

Yugi jumped out of his car and almost ran into the building, the only thing on his mind being Yami. He knew he didn't find the donation of blood that Yami needed, but if Yami was dying...

Yugi had to be there. Wether he liked it or not. They did almost everything together...and they would go through this together.

Mana stood outside Yami's room with Mahad, both of them crying silently. Mahad tried not to sob, but Mana failed in her attempts to as well. Yugi rushed past them and on into Yami's room, ignoring the beeping machines. He clutched Yami's hand and sniffled slightly, hiccuping as well.

"D-Don't worry..." He said shakily, shaking as he reached out and caressed Yami's forehead, "I'm here...it's okay...just...do w-what I said..."

Yugi felt tears come to his eyes. He had no way of stopping them and they streamed down his cheeks like waterfalls.

"Just...let go."

---

The tan man got out of his car. He walked to the door and walked into the tall building, having a feeling of urgency rise from within him. He suddenly felt himself walk quickly in a direction that he had no idea that led.

His body acted on its own, taking him down halls, up elevators, and to the door of a hospital room, with two people outside, presumably doctors, crying in each other's arms.

He stood there awkwardly, looking at them until finally, he spoke.

"Do you..." He started, unsure of how to ask the question, "..need blood?"

The girl sniffled and shakily looked at him, slightly uneasy. She shivered, nodding.

"Y-Yes..." She muttered through her tears.

"O n-negative?" The man repeated.

This time, the man looked at him, exposing his tear stained cheeks. He seemed taken back by his question as well and he nodded.

"W-Why?" He tilted his head, suddenly seeing a bit of hope for the situation at hand.

The man pulled up his sleeve and held out of arm to them, holding it to wear his main vein was exposed. The woman and the man didn't need to hear anymore. They both ran up to him and hugged him.

Relief filled their minds.

They had the donor that they so desperately needed.
