MINA

We are having are breakfast right now. We're eating the pancake mom cooked for us with maple syrup for us while strawberry syrup for Chaeng's.

"Since when did we had a strawberry syrup?" I asked my mom.

"Yesterday. Since I've known Chaeyoung likes strawberry. And Chaeyoung baby, you can sit on your own chair." my mom said. Chaeyoung is sitting on my lap.

Why? How?

FLASHBACK

I woke up in my bed alone. No Chaeyoung with me. I instantly wash up my face and descend downstairs to look for her. And Yeah, I saw her. She is backhugging my mom. She really in very affectionate kind of person. And sometimes, I don't like it. I don't know why. Maybe because I'm not one?

"Oh Mina sweety. You're up. Please sat down. Breakfast will be done in a minute." she said seeing me.

Chaeyoung glance at me and smile seeing me. "Ohayo Mina-unnie. Did you sleep well?"

I ignored her and sat down in the dining area.

"What did I do?" Chaeyoung mumble to herself.

"She's just jealous." my mother answered her. I immediately look up at her seeing her smile. Chaeyoung look at her questionably.

"Weh?"

"Cause your hugging me." my mom said.

"OHhh." Chaeyoung unwrap her hands in my mom waist and walks in dining area where I am. She looks at me as she gets nearer as I remain my eyes on her. She suddenly sat on my lap and take hold of my hands as she wrap it on her waist. "Hugs. You can ask me if you want one, Mina-unnie."

My mom laughs looking at us as she serves our breakfast.

And that how we end up in this position.

"I'm fine, right her mom. I can feed Mina-unnie." Chaeyoung said as she continue feeding as the pancake.

"Mina don't like skinship though." my mom said. Chaeyoung look behind her, at me."You don't? Do I make you uncomfortable?" she ask wearily.

I shake my head 'No'. "You don't make me uncomfortable. I like your skinship." I said with a smile. She smile back happy with my answer.

"She likes your skinship, alone. Your skinship not anyone's." my father mumble but it is for us to hear as he fake cough at the end with teasing smile.

My mom laugh at his remark and nods agreeing. "Right? I have never seen Mina accept skinship well even to us."

I look at them intently throwing daggers with my eyes.

"What are you both saying? You're inventing things." I denied in which they laughs at me.Chaeyoung's arms drape over my neck then to my shoulder as she looks at me. "It's fine Mina-unnie. I like your skinship the most too. You're soft and warm."

I felt my cheeks goes hotter at her words. I look everywhere but not at her getting shy at her words. I heard my parents laughs loudly seeing our interaction.

"I need a work." Chaeyoung suddenly utter when we finished eating breakfast and just chatting. She is now sited in a separate chair. We all look at her questionably.

"Why? Do you need money? Is there something you want to buy? Mommy will buy it for you." my mom goes full defensive mode. My dad nods in my mom question agreeing to her. They spoils her very much.

Chaeyoung interlace her hand playing with it in her lap. "Well, I don't need it right now but I will and I don't want to depend on you for all of my needs." she said shyly looking down at her hands.

My mom stand up from her seat and goes on Chaeyoung back as she hug her from the back. "Chaeyoung sweety, you can depend to us. As much as you can, we are here. We're family. Don't you think so?" my mom questioned.

"I do. Really. So much. I love all of you. You are kind. But I want to help, I want to earn my own money so I can gave something to you too." Chaeyoung said sincerely. We all awed at her kind heart and cuteness.

"You being here, giving us so much happiness is enough." my mom said.

Chaeyoung was about to reason out but my father talked first "Chaeyoung honey". Chaeyoung look at him. "You're mom is right. You're giving us happiness and that is nothing compare to anything is this world. You're a ball of sunshine to this family. Especially to our Mina. But, if you really want to work then you can, but not for us, for yourself. For now, wait atleast two weeks for you to get adjusted here and then we can help you finding a work that you want to do." my father said softly.

Chaeyoung smile and nods accepting my father's proposition.
