Chapter 4: The Battle

THIRD PERSON POV

"Ready.........set.........Fight!"

Gajeel made the first move by covering his body in Iron scales. "Pfft, do you really need scales to fight me? Were you really that beaten up by Natsu?" Alex said sarcasticly. That made Gajeel pissed off.
"I ain't scarred of no fire hazard," Gajeel replied,"Iron Dragon's Roar!"

Alex easily doged the attack,"I told you, I move faster when I'm loose. Fire Dragon's Wing Attack!" Alex's attack hit him straight on and pushed him back a few feet, but had no affect on him. Gajeel landed a few good attacks with his iron hand. Then Alex got pissed and decided to finish this battle.

"I'm sorry to break it to you, but your attacks won't have any affect on me at all," Gajeel boasted. Then, Alex smirked an evil smirk.

"Hey, Master," Alex shouted while dodging some of Gajeel's attacks,"you said nothing about that." It took Master Makorov a little bit before he realized what she was talking about. He sweat-dropped realizing his mistake,"No, no I didn't."

Alex gathered all of her magic energy,"FIRE DRAGON'S.....," she started," DRAGON FORCE." Every one was suprised and was checking to see if they heard her correctly. Then a huge flame burst from around Alex. Red scales started to surface on her arms and face, she grew claws on her feet and hands. Horns started to grow on her head and she grew fangs.

"Should've backed down while you had the chance, Gajeel."

"You got yourself into some deep trouble." said some of the guild members. Natsu, Happy, Lucy, Erza and Gray's jaws dropped to the ground.

"S-She can use Dragon Force?" They said simutaneously. Natsu looked amazed.

"Lets get this over with, Son of Metallicana," Alex said.

"I couldn't agree more, Daughter of Igneel," Gajeel replied, getting under Alex's skin.

"FIRE DRAGON'S ROAR, FIRE DRAGON'S IRON FIST!" Alex exclaimed and attacked harder and faster than before. In those two attacks, she destroyed Gajeels scale armor and finished him off with a spell that Igneel didn't teach Natsu,"FIRE DRAGON'S TAIL WHIP." A whip made of fire appeared in Alex's hand. Alex sent one good slash and Gajeel was down for the count.

"AND THE WINNER IS ALEX!!" Exclaimed Master Makorov. Every one cheered and Wendy rushed to Gajeel and gave him some medical attention.

Alex transformed out of Dragon Force and collasped to the ground. Natsu, Wendy, and Lucy rushed to her side."Hold on, Alex. I'll help you," Wendy said while holding her hands over Alex. Alex was breathing heavily.

"That was a little too much energy, Alex. Are you sure your okay?" Lucy asked worriedly.

"Yes it is just a side affect from Tail Whip and Dragon Force being used at the same time," she replied shakily.

"Where did you learn to use Dragon Force like that? And what was that other spell?" Natsu asked rapidly.

"Shut up Natsu, Alex needs to heal and rest. She can answer your questions later," Erza said.

"That was a great battle, Alex. Hell I'm even scarred to go against you in a one-on-one battle," said Erza.

"Thanks. Sorry that I'm in such a bad state, didn't think that they would take up so much power." Alex started,"Igneel said that I shouldn't use them both at the same time, because of this." Wendy had finished healing both Alex and Gajeel," You two should really rest. Both of your magic energy took a pretty big toll," Wendy said restlessly.

"Thank you, Wendy," Alex replied.

"Yeah, Yeah. I don't take orders from a shrimp," said Gajeel.

"You were a great opponent, Gajeel," Alex continued.

"Hmph. I can say the same for you.......... Damn it, I ain't gotta nickname for you. I call fire ball over there by his nick-name, Salmander. And now I ain't got one for you," Gajeel said annoyed. Alex made a small laugh with every one else.

"Just call me Alex, please," she replied back, gesturing out her hand. Gajeel returned the gesture.

"That was a marvelous fight, Alex! I would hate to be your enemy," said Mira as cheerful as always.

"Don't worry, no one here is my enemy," Alex said softly," I think of everyone here as my friends and family." With that everyone smiled and welcomed her with open arms.

Next Day ALEX POV

"So do you wanna join our team?," Natsu asked me. I looked at Natsu like he was crazy.

"What do you mean by our team? I thought you do solo missions only?" I asked them in confusion.

"You do go on solo missions, but if there is a really tough job with high pay, then it would be best for someone to go with you, or a team," Mira explained to me.

"Yeah, I started out with Natsu and Happy. Then Erza, Gray, Wendy and Charle joined the team. Now we're asking if you want to join Team Natsu." Lucy told me. I thought about it.

"Don't you think that three Dragon Slayers, a powerfull requip mage, a celestial mage with 10 zodiacs, and an ice-make mage are all a very deadly combo?" I asked nervously.

"Don't worry. It's mainly just me, Happy, and Lucy that go on missions together. Erza, Gray, Charle, and Wendy go on missions togethert, too. But then if it's something like defeating an entire dark guild then we all go together," replied Natsu,"you would even out our team, and make us even stronger."

"Alright, it's a deal. I'm officialy apart of Team Natsu," I replied with a grin.

"Welcome to the team, Alex!" Natsu and Lucy both exclaimed. I'm glad you sent me, Igneel. They are quite the guild. I thought to myself.

I'm sorry that there hasn't been any real information on the Dragon King and Demon Queen situaition, I'm just trying to do some lead up information on the new character, Alex. I promise that the next chapter will start heading into the situation!
