Chapter 6: Wide Awake

THIRD PERSON POV

Natsu had finally gotten to the scene and saw the man from earlier and Lucy were fighting. Lucy looked exhausted and beat up. Virgo and Tarus were both attacking but the mage kept dodging the attack. This reminds me of that Racer guy from the Oracieon Sies, Natsu thought to himslef. Then he jumped into action,"FIRE DRAGON'S IRON FIST!" Natsu exclaimed and hit the mage straight in the face. "Natsu? Where did you come from?" Lucy asked confused. "I just got here looking for this guy. He chickened out of our fight earlier, so this is my payback," Natsu replied. Then he flinched and turned to yell at Lucy to move out if the way but turned just in time to see Lucy get hit in the back with a magic blast. Lucy was sent flying through the air."LUCY!!" Natsu exclaimed and went to her. She was beat badly. Natsu noticed that Virgo and Tarus had disappeared. Lucy had a gash on her side. "Who the hell did that?" Natsu looked around and spotted a mage on top of a building with a type of gun. He must be a Guns mage, Natsu thought to himself.

"That is my partner, Trace," the man replied who was regaining balance,"He specializes in Guns Magic. Trace is also a really good sniper." Trace dropped to the ground and his rifel materialized. Just like Alzack and Bisca, Natsu thought."That was a dirty trick. Now that I know who you are," Natsu said pointing towards Trace then to the other man,"who are you?" The other man smirked and replied,"That's for me to know and you to find out." The man looked at Trace. Trace nodded and a pistol materialized into his hand. He pointed it at Lucy. Natsu was about to attack when the man started to talk again,"Trace is a quick shooter, so if you think about attacking either one of us, he will pull the trigger......." he paused and continued,"but since we need both of you alive, Trace is using a Pain bullet, it will hurt her terribly but won't kill her." Trace cocked the gun getting ready to shoot. Natsu cursed under his breathe,"What do you want from us?" Natsu asked the man while watching Trace to make sure he wasn't pulling his leg."We just wanted to warn you that this will happen if you don't follow the rules," he replied with a smirk. Natsu was confused but he didn't show it."Now, onto why we want with this lovely lady," he said looking at Lucy,"she is important to our master. The curse on the town is just me and my gang taking up people to find her and the other person, but thanks to you we only have to find one more." Lucy was then wide awake when she heard him talk about the curse. She tried sitting up. Appearantly she wasn't supposed to do that. BANG. Trace shot her in the leg. "AAAAAAAHHHHH," she screamed in pain and laid on her side, holding her hand over the hole in her leg. She started to cry and shake in pain."WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR?! SHE DIDN'T DO ANY THING!" Natsu exclaimed angrily. The man just stared at Lucy with a wicked smirk on his face.

ALEX POV

I sat up to the shot of a gun, followed shortly by a scream. Lucy? I thought to myself. I looked at Happy who was starting to tear up. I stood up out of the bed and put my hand on Happy's head."Lets go, Happy," I told him with a dead, serious look in my eyes. Happy wiped the tears from his eyes and replied with his famous,"Aye, sir!" Once we got out of the hostpital, Happy sprouted his wings and took hold of my hood.

"Don't worry, Happy," I looked up at the blue exceed with a reassuring smile,"We won't let them hurt them any more." Happy just smiled back and said,"Aye." The smoke was reduced to streams, so you could just barely see where it was. Happy and I were determined though. We sped through the air.

LUCY AND NATSU POV(third person)

An unconcious Lucy was covered in bullet holes. There were more holes in her stomach area than on her arms and legs. Natsu was trying not to cry infront of the enemy."Are you done playing around with us?" Natsu muttered, his eyes covered by his bangs and shadowed."Aww, but we were just starting to have fun," he said mockingly."Trace was really wanting to try out his new bullets on someone. I think they were electrical bullets?" Trace nodded in agreement. He was cocking and aiming at Lucy when a miracle dropped from the sky."FIRE DRAGON'S DRAGON FORCE," Alex exclaimed and transformed. This time her eyes glowed an eerie golden color. Even Natsu was frozen in terror.

"First you hurt innocent people," Alex started,"then you make me look like a fool infront of my friend and my brother, and now........." she paused trying not to destroy a building,"you think you can just waltz in here, hurt my closest friend, and play it off as a game?! Now that I said that bull shit out loud, it makes me pity your gang and it makes me furious." A huge flame with lightning buzzing around it burst around Alex. "W-What kind of m-monster are you?" Trace asked shakily. Then, someone tapped Trace on the shoulder, and when he turned he knew he was dead. There, stood a pissed off Natsu in Lightning Flame mode,"If Alzack and Bisca were here at this moment, then they would be embarassed to have the same magic as you," Natsu said in a deep voice. Natsu left hooked Trace and sent him flying. Trace stood back up and loaded his rifel with shaky hands, but before he could completely load the chamber, Natsu kicked him in the gut,"The next time you hurt a dear friend of mine, your gonna wish you never woke up that morning," Natsu said as he used his roar to finish off Trace.

(A/N-Sorry I forgot the names of the attacks he uses in Lightning Flame mode. I didn't feel like being a fool today!)

Alex and the other mage were still fighting. Alex was beating him. When Natsu left Lightning Flame mode, the lightning around Alex had disappeared. Her eyes were still glowing the eerie golden color."Natsu, get Lucy and Happy and go as far away from the battle as possible," Alex told Natsu. Natsu looked confused,"What? No, I'm not going to leave you here." Alex huffed and then said in a tone Erza would use against Natsu and Gray,"NATSU, I DON'T WANT YOU TO SEE ME WHEN I CAST THIS SPELL, SO IF YOU DON'T LEAVE I WILL GIVE YOU A REASON TO LEAVE!!" Natsu flinched in suprise and fear of her previous statement."Happy, lets go," Natsu finally said. He picked up Lucy, who was starting to shake in pain. Happy flew them away quickly. Now it was all up to Alex, who started to cry. I'm sorry, Igneel. I know I'm breaking a promise, but it's for the greater good, Alex thought to herself.
"FIRE DRAGON'S........................"

Okay so I thought I should tell you that Fire Dragon's Tail Whip, Fire Dragon's Dragon Force, and the other spell that will be told in the next chapter are not spells in the Manga and Anime. Dragon Force, on the other hand, is real just not used in spell form. I will explain later in the book why Alex chants it like it is a spell.
