Chapter 13: Alex (a few months ago[prt. 2])

ALEX POV
On the train..........

Me, Natsu, Happy, and Charle sat in one seat, while Erza, Gray, and Wendy sat in the other. "Now, back to my story," I continued.

"Let the battle...................................begin!" Vallen shouted. Jose made the first move, he sent a thousand lightning bolts straight for me. First, I dodged but then I snook a few for me to eat."So your a Lightning mage. Humph, can't wait to see how this goes," I said while regaining my postion. I started to chant ,"FIRE DRAGON'S ROAR!" His eyes widened in shock as the huge column of fire came rushing at him. When the fire cleared, he had some heavy damage."That was pretty good, you might be able to beat me now," Jose told me. I raised my eyebrows and asked,"Excuse me?" Jose continued,"You heard me. If you didn't have Dragon Slayer magic, then you wouldn't have stood a chance against me." Oh, how I wanted to tear him apart right then. I heard Prada whisper something to me, while I was standing there,"Are you gonna use that special mode?" I smirked and yelled to her,"Well, he needs to learn his lesson." Prada looked like she just saw a ghost. Shikora was trying to shake Prada back into sanity, while everyone was watching me to see what I would do."Well come at me, the Great and mighty Jose," I said the last part with sarcasm. He did. He sent 16 watts of electricity at me, but I just stood there and waited."I wouldn't get too cocky," Jose said to me, like a warning. I still stood there while he turned up the power. When it came to me, I stuck my hand out and caught it. I smirked and said something to him,"Ya know, Jose, you shouldn't get too cocky." I ate the lightning, but everyone saw it this time. "WHAT?!" everyone was shocked by what I just did. Then I shocked them even more,"LIGHTNING FLAME MODE!" They all had their jaws dropped. "Who are you?" Jose asked in fear. I replied with a smirk,"I'm Alex Dragneel, Fire Dragon Slayer......." I paused thinking if I should tell them,"and Lightning Empress mage." Jose then realized who I was. Before he could say anything else, I attacked him.

"LIGHTNING FLAME DRAGON'S ROAR!" I exclaimed and a huge explosion of Lightning and Fire came from my mouth. He got hit pretty hard and he was stumbling. I hit him again,"LIGHTNING FLAME DRAGON'S FIST." When I hit him, he just fell back and layed there."Not......bad......Cordona," Jose said between breathes. I stepped back in suprise."What did you just call me?" I said with anger in my eyes. "I didn't recognize you 'till now. Your Alexis Cordona, you were from the guild Emperial Salem. Why are you here?" I was suprised he even knew my name, I don't know him."Like I said, We're only looking for a temporary guild," I replied with a grin. I faced back at Vallen who was awestruck looking at me."Did I pass?" I asked him with my arms crossed. He shook away his shock and said,"Meet our new members, Alex and Prada." Everyone cheered in excitement, while I helped up Jose. I walked over to Prada and Shikora, who were collecting their money from all the other members. "So, did you guys find out who the other two bets were for me?" I asked Shikora. He looked away from the people handing him money, and replied,"Oh, yeah. Haruniki and Pirus." Two mages walked up to us at the sound of their names."Alex, this is Haruniki and Pirus," Prada said while pointing at a man with raven black hair and hazel eyes, then to a woman with scarlet red hair and golden eyes. "Hey, that was an awesome battle," said Pirus. Haruniki was scanning me, like he was reading my image. "Thanks. I honestly thought he would be tough to take out," I replied, still watching Haruniki look at me."Well, I'm Pirus, looks like you've met Shikora already, and stalker boy over there is Haruniki," Pirus replied.

Haruniki blinked,"Oh, yeah. I'm sorry, its just that when Jose said that your Alexis Cordona, I was trying to figure out why you weren't using Lightning Empress magic." Just the mention of my old magic made me tense up. I tried not to show it while I spoke,"Its hard to explain, but as you can see, I now use Fire Dragon Slayer magic. By the way, this is my exceed, Prada." Then I gestured to Prada still collecting money and asked,"What kind of magic do you guys use?" Pirus replied first,"Oh, I use Requip magic. I'm teaching Shikora how to use it as well." Shikora nodded. I smiled at Shikora and looked back at Haruniki,"What about you? I could try to guess, but I don't want to make a fool of myself in front of another mage." He just smirked and said,"Go ahead, guess." Making sure that my power was being filtered and wasn't able to be sensed, I looked Haruniki straight in the eyes and read his memories and thoughts.
