Chapter 11: The Mission

Some of the Avengers chuckled at the joke while James looked slightly confused. Tony was the first one out of the jet and onto the roof, but Angel followed soon after in her suit.

Clint just rolled his eyes and started landing the plane, "Gosh, I could never guess they are related," he said sarcastically.

Once the plane was landed everyone walked out onto the roof, but the guards there were already on the ground. Angel's suit landed on the ground next to James and her face mask lifted up. "You guys were a little late"

Steve rolled his eyes slightly at her comment, "Or you were being to hasty. The plan is to keep Thor and Hulk out here to keep the soldiers from getting away. The rest of us go in and take the base. Everyone understand?"

Angel rolled her eyes, "Even Jason could understand that," she said with a joking tone.

Jason rolled his eyes and grabbed a gun off the holster on his belt. "Too bad a homosapian like you could understand that," he said with a smirk while looking up at him.

James looked between them confused then heard foot steps close to him and turned seeing Rose behind him.

'I'll explain later,' she mouthed before nodding back to the Avengers. They started walking towards the door as the twins continued to joke with each other and they got the door open. Rose walked past him and brushed his shoulder, "You should get ready for your first mission love." She turned and smirked slightly before following the others through the door and pulling a bow off the quiver on her back.

James took a deep breath and followed them, hearing Captain America's instructions. "There's four floors, two above ground and two below. The lower ones will probably be the hardest to control since that's where everything will be hidden. Lowest floors will go to me And Tony. The next one to Natasha and Clint. The top two can go between the younger soldiers."

The four of us looked between each other and Rose scanned each of us, "Me and James have the ground floor. You twins have the top floor."

Jason glanced at Angel who was about to speak up before he cut in, "Um, sorry but James has the least amount of training, so he should get the top floor. Also, the control center is on that floor, so Angel should go shut down the emergency sequences." Angel smirked slightly and looked at Rose.

"I can take the control center, but you are right about James. How about Jason and I take ground floor?"

Angel opened her mouth again but Captain America cut in, "Sounds good, let's get going."

Everyone ran in and some went to the stair cases while Angel and James walked through the near empty halls. After Angel knocked out the remaining men with her repulsers they did a few extra rounds. James looked over his gun and Angel got bored so she walked into a room full of files.

"What are you doing?" He asked in a hushed tone.

Angels suit opened up and she walked out, "Our floors clear, I'm just looking," she said simply while walking over to open a file that rested on a cabinet.

James looked around before walking in with her, "What is in this stuff?"

"Old shield files they kept mostly, occasional hydra personal," she said flipping through the cabinets contents. "These look like agents folders." She started reading them out, "Winter soldier, various 0-8-4's, project phantom," she said then opened a folder and her eyes widened in suprise.

James walked next to her and looked over her shoulder, "What is project phantom?"

"I have no idea, but Rose is involved in it," she said looking at the first page. It had a bio of her, the exact same on that she had found in the SHIELD server. She flipped the page and saw a more recent picture of the girl looking expressionless at the camera.
