First Meeting

I run and sit on a bench, near the fountain while tears begin to flow down my cheeks remembering my mother. How different would my life would be😢 "Sweety" I hear Gran call out.

"Gran..." I run towards her and hug her. "I miss mom... I wish things were different...it's not easy for me why doesn't he understand?" I cry as she slowly caresses my head.

"My girl... Don't cry.... let's not do it if you don't want to. I just want to see you happy. I didn't know you had so much held back in your heart. You know what.... I'm telling your father you're not getting married.." she says as I break the hug.

"No Gran, please I'm doing it for Mom I don't want anything to happen to this company... It's just a year it'll pass by...later I will divorce and resume my life back in America... it'll all be fine" I assure her wiping my tears. "You just be by my side" saying this I kiss her hands. "Always" she promises💕

*Next day*

Taehyung

I'm supposed to meet Y/N today for the first time, the first thing I need to make it clear that I love someone else and make sure that she expects nothing from this marriage.

Currently I'm waiting for Lisa in the café, the place we usually meet, I've promised my mother not to be in touch with Lisa. While my mother has high hopes from this marriage I on the other hand can't wait to get out of it. God this so complicated😖

"Hey sweetheart" she greets me with a back hug and takes the seat opposite the table. "Hey" I say not look knowing how to break the news.

"So why did we suddenly meet? Like we usually meet on weekends right? Is everything alright?" She questions with a worried voice.

"Hmm not really... Actually the thing is.....my parents are getting me married to this girl..." I say unsure of her reaction.

"Marriage?" She says with her eyes widened. "Baby listen to me..." I say trying to calm down that reaction. At times she gets tough to handle😅

She nods hesitantly allowing me to speak. "You know how important is the company to me and you also know my dad don't you?" I say holding her fingers, she nods listening attentively.

"My Dad has put forth a condition that if I don't marry the girl of his choice he'll transfer the company to Taewon!" I say finally letting her know the reason.

"What? But that's unfair?" She says understandingly. Now you see that's why I love her. "I know right" I say gladly finally someone agrees that it's unfair😣

"But let me assure you it's only for a year nothing beyond that" I continue to speak. "If it's for the company then you can go ahead, I've seen how much you have worked hard to reach this far...we can still be in touch right?" She asks unsure.

"No...we can't... but let's give a break to this relationship," I suggest like it's my plan. Well played, Mom🙄

"What? A break?" She speaks looking astounded but, then suddenly "Fine... Let's do this" she agrees while I was in for some drama.

"Wha.. what you're okay?" I ask startled."Yes babe, I'll be going to America for a year. I have my some of my shoots there and also anticipating something really big...by the time I come back she'll be out of your life. Go ahead I won't stop you" her words took me for a surprise.

"Wha...wow... that's great, sounds perfect. Thanks a lot for understanding me" I appreciate her.

See this is why I love her she's practical, not like another girlfriends tantrums and all🙄

"When are you leaving then?" I asked wanting to spend some good time with her. "Oh are you so excited to see me off Kim Taehyung? 🤨 I'm kidding😁" she says jokingly.

"In a week" she says grabbing her purse from the table. "So let's have lunch together" I say looking at my watch and then hold onto her fingers for the last time.

*Time Skip*

Shit I'm late! Mom is going to kill me After lunch with Lisa. I swiftly drive towards home. I stop at the signal waiting for the lights to turn green. My phone buzzes showing Taewon's voicemail message😒. I tap the screen as the signal shows green. 'Hey, Hyung where are you? Mom is fuming here, the Parks have arrived. I must say the girl looks quite attractive, actually if you aren't interested I wouldn't mind this proposal... '

I hang up not wanting to hear more of him🤬 You're such a dork! You think I'll allow you to marry and get the company? 🤨

Finally I reach our residence and park quickly rushing in. As I walk in the living room, I catch a glimpse of my parents, a couple around my parents age, a girl and Taewon seated next to her. Aish! this boy. They all were too occupied with their talks and hadn't noticed my presence.

My eyes were fixed on the girl or rather Y/N. She must be Taewon's age. She had beautiful eyes, dark brown long hair neatly twisted into curls, fair skin, bluish eyes, and had worn a pink knee length dress. Why do girls like pink? I don't get it😕

"Hey Hyung why do you have that grimaced expression on your face?" Taewon interrupts my thoughts.

"Here comes the groom" my overexcited mother welcomes me and I can feel everyone's eyes on me. "Sorry I'm late, I'm Taehyung nice to meet you all" I say faking a smile, introducing myself to the Parks.

"Not a matter, son. I am Mr. Park, Y/N's father" he introduces himself. "This is my wife" he points towards the middle aged woman besides him. "Hello" I greet her while she passes a gentle nod. "And this is Y/N my daughter" he introduces the young girl seated right besides my brother.

"Hi Y/N" I greet her, well that's the only thing I could say. "Hi" she replies.

"Taehyung, why don't you show Y/N our house?" my Dad says. "Oh yes Y/N, dear have a look at the garden we've recently got some landscape work done" my mom joins dad.

Yeah that's the only thing left in my life now. Y/N gets up and walks towards me "Can I join in too" Taewon jumps in. Why is he so excited? "Taewon not now" my mother's strictly orders causing him to obediently sit back.

"Let's go" I say to Y/N and turn around to pass a teasing look towards Taewon😝 and start walking before he starts whining like a baby.

Y/N follows me silently, I walk to the garden and we sit on a bench. "So...Y/N" I say breaking the silence. She looks up at me perplexed. "What sort of business do you have in America?" I ask observing her face carefully.
"Outsourcing business" she says while playing with her fingers.

"What do you expect from this marriage?" She questions me out of the blue.

Well I didn't see this question coming this fast😧 She seemed really nervous. Okay I'm saying this looking at her tapping foot.

I sneaked close to her while she slowly moved back,"Can I be honest with you?" I ask and she nods nervously.

"I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you, Y/N."
