"Listen, Miss Violet. The 21st Hunger Games need to be special. Interesting. The 20th was a tad boring. My bad. You know that it was unexciting. What are you planning?"
I smile. This Hunger Games will be my only one shot. It's my first year, and I need to make an impression, or get fired. I tried to come up with a better one, but this one is better than the 20th.
"I have an arena idea that might be interesting. Better than the 20th"
President Snow smiles his evil smile.
"And what might that be, Alyssa?"
"Shouldn't I save the surprise for the Games?"
He laughs. "Is it brutal?"
"Not as brutal as the, say, 19th, but can we not play 20 questions here?"
"Are you talking back to your President?"
"I'm sorry sir, I can tell you if you want. It's interesting, but not like a Quarter Quell or anything.."
"No need to be humble. I order you, tell me your arena idea. It's surely better than the 20th."
