ARÚ
All these while, the king of the ucheki hid behind an infantry battalion. He had watched the young warrior in disgust. He hated him for his battle successes, he had the praise of the soldiers. He feared the people would sing his name and not their king's when they return.
As Ali spoke. He checked out the high grounds for sentries or archers. He saw that the leader was far away from his soldiers. So using the left flank of their position against the opinion of his generals. He rode slowly, hiding behind the long spears of the spearmen.
He brought out an arrow and aimed it at Ali udi's head. But as he tried to get a clear shot, the gendrian leader stopped talking and rode away. The king was frustrated and angry, but he thought if Ali was off the table, it was best to take Okam, the young warrior the soldiers praised down. so no one could steal his glory. He immediately changed his aim directly at the warriors head, and he fired. The bronze coated arrow would've hit its mark. But by the stroke of luck at that second Okam scrunched in pain and leaned on another soldier. The arrow pierced his left shoulder. Okam screamed. The ucheki general turned towards the gendrians, "Liars!" he screamed "Kill them all!"
The ucheki soldiers cried out for battle and ran towards their enemy with eyes bloodied for vengeance. The gendrians raised the shields in defence.
"Who fired that arrow?!" Ali screamed. His advisor replied in fear.
"We do not know. But we don't think it came from us."Ali looked up scanning the plains before him. He saw a lone horse riding away from battle towards the king's command fort. He raised his hands, signalling the archers to fire at his mark.
The arrow flew through the air and struck his arm. Pushing him off his horse to the ground. Ali scrunched up his face and rode towards him.
At the same time Okam called the general to attention. "Sir, this is an ucheki arrow...ah!" He said in pain. "what?! We have a traitor! " The ucheki general saw Ali riding towards him and signalled a seizure of attack.
After Ali reached the general, Ali pointed to the king. and both of them rode towards him. The king writhed in pain. His soldiers muttered discretely. 'Aru'! Would be heard once in a while.
Okam was dumbfounded. "you broke a sacred law. Is your jelousy so great you would kill your best soldier?" Ali said.
"My...my king. i... don't understand" The general muttered.
"You don't need to. I am your king. My actions are law and always with reason. Arrest Okam immediately. There is an urgent atrocity of his i must attend to." The king said standing up, his right hand clutching his bleeding arm. "...and general, continue the battle. end the gendrian filth! " He got on a horse and rode away. Ali rode away as well. The stunned general ordered that Okam be released when the king was out of range. "Be careful ñna. It would seem your success shames even our king. you're not safe. After the battle we will hide you my son" He said to Okam just before he rode away towards battleline.
