Day 127, 0:300

Been sitting in this abandoned building for two weeks now, it has been one-hundred twenty-seven days since the plague hit this land. No one knows how it started or where it came from but everyone knows that once it started spreading it wouldn't stop. Lee and I haven't gone out in a while so today we are going to find food and hopefully some of our families. Lee is my best friend; he and I both have twin siblings and have never been apart from them. Lee has four siblings including his twin; I have five siblings including my twin. I know that my older brothers are safe because they are looking for my twin and two younger sisters. Lee hasn't found any of his family yet.

0:700

We just got back from our trip to find any type of food, in to the city that used to be our home. Jess and Tanner have returned with three more people but none of them are related to any of us. I am leaving in an hour to look for them myself while the rest sleep. Lee wants to come with me but I won't let him, he is needed to take care of the new children we have taken in. I know that my brothers are going to kill me when they find out, if those creatures don't first. I need to do this though because I am scared that my twin hasn't survived the disaster. Please be alright Mack!

12:00

I have been out here for five hours now and have found four people in all of my searching. They are Lee's siblings; they are scared and skinny from not eating anything. Lee will be so happy that they are safe but his parents didn't make it. We are heading back to the hideout now but we aren't alone. I need to get these four there as fast as possible. I don't want to frighten them so I have to tell them everything is alright. They all believe me except Victoria, Lee's twin. She knows something is wrong but doesn't say anything in front of her younger siblings. She and I talk a bit later, while we are waiting to move. She tells me that my family was okay when she had last seen them. She tells me about how they had been separated as they were trying to get out of the city. I am scared now more than ever about my family's safety and the safety of these four siblings I am trying to reunite with their brother.

13:00

We are almost to the hideout when one of the creatures stops us in our tracks. It hasn't noticed us yet but it is a possibility that it will soon. We hide in a building just three buildings down from the hideout and wait. The youngest has started to cry and Vitoria is shaking she is so scared. I try to calm them by sing a soft lullaby that my mom would sing to us when we were scared. But it is far too late for that now the creature has heard the crying and is screaming, this ear sliping scream, to call others to us. I start to shake but stand my ground in front of my friends; I will not let them die here. There is a bang at the door followed but more screams. Then a gunshot is heard through the noise, it is my older brother's double barrel shotgun. They have come to see what all the noise is about.

13:30

It is quiet now and there is a knock at the door. Jess opens it slowly and points his gun inside then lowers it when he sees me standing in the middle of the room with a piece of wood held tight in my hands. I fall to my knees and reveal the rest of my group to him. He smile and picks me up off the ground and out in to the sun. Victoria is carrying her youngest sister followed by her younger brothers. We all make it back to the hideout safely when I hear a scream. I look over Jess's should to see a young girl standing a ways away from us. She is holding something in her arms that looks like a doll. I climb out of Jess's arms and run to her; it's Molly. She is pointing down an alley way and crying. I follow her little finger to find the rest of my family trapped inside the building just at the end of the alley. Molly runs down the alley and disappears, she was never there. Jess is at my side now looking puzzled, "what is it Brady?". "Nothing, I'm just tired."

16:00

It has been two and a half hours since I saw the image of Molly. I think that it was trying to tell me something about my family. Lee is sleeping with his siblings, Tanner and Jess are guarding the door and I am looking out the window in the top of the building. How did this world turn out like this? I wish everything would turn back to normal. I try to get some sleep but it's hopeless so I go sit next to my brothers, who have been standing watch, they put their arms around me and hold me gently. I drift to sleep and soon am fast asleep for the first time in a long time.
