18:00

It's almost night fall so I grab Mack's bat and head out the door. Tanner and Jess are preoccupied with the younger ones to notice me leave. I slowly close the door and when I turn I find Mack standing in front of me. She doesn't say anything just hugs me and heads back inside. I know she is going to tell on me but I can't wait anymore. I have to get home and get back.

I sneak through the ally ways with no problem. The hardest part is going to be getting into the neighbor hoods. There is no cover for me to hide in if I get caught. I have to make this as quick as possible.

Day 132: 0:100

So far today has not gone well. I am stuck in my mother's closet while my mother feeds on my father in the the room. I am scared and can see the door to the hall but I don't care to make a move. These things are getting smarter and faster everyday. 'Oh someone please save me!' Just as I think that I see something move in the hallway. Then there is a crashing sound which makes mom stop what she is doing. She sniffs the air and is about to return to what she is doing when there is another sound. I slide deeper in to the closet so she doesn't she me as she passes by. Once she has left the room I crawl out of the closet and head to my room. I grab a few things and head out. I turn around to find Jess standing in front of me blood covered.

"Mom's dead now and so is dad." His voice is angry and sad. "Why the hell did you come back here?"

"I need to get somethings plus with all the new people we would need more blankets." I shrug and walk past him.

"Did you ever stop to think that you should have asked one of us? We would have had someone come with you but instead you run off alone." He gets agrier and is almost yelling now.

"I'm not a baby." I mumble to myself.

"What was that? Speak up if your going to say something." He is red faces and looks like he may blow.

"I said I'm not a baby! When you are you going to stop treating me like one? That all everyone ever did was treat me like a baby. You, mom, dad, everyone at school, even Mack. She did until she left for camp. I changed then and so did she. Why can't you treat me like a......" My words are cut off by his lips against mine.

He moves away and a blush creeps across my face. "Sometimes you talk to much. I don't mean to treat you like a baby but sometimes you do childish things like running off alone. Before all of this happened that was fine but right now.. right now I can't lose you. I love you!" He is almost crying at the thought of losing me.

My mind is fuzzy from him kissing me. I place my hands on his cheek, pop up on my toes and kiss him again. He wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me closer to him. Everything in the world feels like it has stopped. As we separate I look down, we are now both covered in blood.

"Let's get a shower.... together." I suggest sheepishly.

He smiles and picks me up to carry me in to the bathroom. "You shower first and I'll stand watch. Then I'll shower and you'll stand watch."

"But if something happens while I'm standing watch would that get me dirty again? Just get in with me and we can listen for anything that comes our way." I put my hands on my hips and the argument is over.
