Ladybug quickly made her way home. She detransformed on her balcony and climbed inside to her room. Everything was the way she had left it. And she didn't hear any commotion from downstairs, so she figured that no one had found her missing.

She laid down on her bed and closed her eyes. The next thing she knew, her mother was shaking her awake.

"Marinette, wake up. It's almost nine. We need your help in the bakery," Sabine said.

"I'm sorry, Maman. I guess I was super tired," she said, stretching.

"I guess so, you didn't even change into your pajamas before going to bed!"

Marinette blushed slightly. "Oh yeah, you're right."

"Well it's time to get up. Come down when you're ready," her mother said, going downstairs.

Marinette changed her clothes and brushed her teeth. She went to the bakery and helped her mother at the register again.

Right before she was about to leave and head back to her room, Marinette noticed a familiar car pull up outside. She took out her phone and texted Adrien.

M: Why is Nathalie outside the bakery? I doubt she's here for some macaroons.

Adrien replied immediately.

A: Marinette, don't go outside. Stay in your room.

Marinette made eye contact with Nathalie through the window. She quickly texted Adrien back.

M: Too late, she already saw me. And she has her tablet. I guess your father wants to talk to me again. I'll text you later.

Marinette put her phone in her pocket and went outside to meet Nathalie. She felt her phone buzz.

"Good afternoon, Marinette," Nathalie said to her. "Mr. Agreste would like to speak with you."

Marinette nodded as Nathalie typed into the tablet. Her phone buzzed again in her pocket.

Nathalie held up the screen so Marinette could see Gabriel.

"Miss Dupain-Cheng, I would like to apologize for our previous conversation," Gabriel said.

Marinette's phone buzzed yet again.

Gabriel continued. "I believe I acted irrationally. It's evident to me now that Adrien is very fond of you and has been deeply saddened by your breakup. I would like to know if you would consider dating him again."

Marinette stared at the screen. She never in a million years expected this. "Mr. Agreste, I don't know what to say," she said bluntly. Her phone started ringing, but she ignored it.

"I hope that you strongly consider it. If you decide that you would want to date Adrien, I promise not to interfere anymore."

"Thank you, Mr. Agreste," Marinette said.

"Well, now that that's taken care of, I would like to purchase some items from your bakery. Would you mind helping Nathalie choose what to buy?" Gabriel asked.

"Of course not," Marinette replied.

"I have to get back to work now. Good day, Miss Dupain-Cheng," he said, disconnecting.

Marinette looked up at Nathalie. "Shall we?" Nathalie asked, gesturing towards the bakery door. Marinette nodded and led her inside.

Sabine saw them enter and hurried over to them. "Nathalie, how wonderful to see you again. What can we help you with today?"
