VII. Different Sides
IT WASN'T UNTIL MID-DAY WHEN REGULUS FOUND THERESA. He hadn't seen her during breakfast, nor lunch, the Ravenclaw table was the second emptiest table out of all of them, the first being the Slytherin one. On the other hand, the Gryffindor table was the most filled, Regulus's brother and his friends all sat together, speaking loudly, and laughing.
He couldn't stand it, memories from the previous night hadn't disappeared. The Ravenclaw girl, Theresa, was on his mind. Her name was like a drug, addictive enough to say over again and again. Leaving the food on his plant, Regulus stood up, walking out of the Great Hall, the whole atmosphere of the hall felt nauseating. Walking down the corridor, Regulus felt the nauseous feeling slowly start leaving his stomach.
Everything in his mind was clouded, every possible thought was with another, the only coherent thing in his mind was Theresa. The same question being repeated; why had she given her name up so willingly?
Snowflakes were caught in Theresa's hair, the white looked brighter on her raven hair. The frosty air nipped at her nose, as she twirled her wand between her fingers, grasping it at times to throw a small spell at the ground. Right now, she had managed to grow a small flower out of the ground.
Joining the other students who were left at the school for breakfast every single day until the next term was basically torture. Her eyes flickered up, a few students had come outside, none of them paying attention to Theresa.
Though, followed after those few unnamed students, the Marauders walked out, louder than possible, most of the noise coming from either James or Sirius, but the snorting and giggling from Peter. Remus was the only quiet one of the bunch.
Since her last encounter with the boys in the library, they had backed off, just ignoring her in all. It was a relief, a huge one, but all goods things come to an end at some point.
James had taken his eyes off the grounds in front of him, looking around as the laughter of his friends abated. His hazel coloured eyes fell upon a large tree, underneath it, sat a familiar face, her head covered in snow.
It was no doubt that James had noticed Theresa, she could feel his gaze, shortly followed by Sirius's, drop on her, burning holes into her. But, she ignored them. They needn't start conflict right now because of the newly held power Theresa had gained.
However, there was a loophole; they could still talk to her.
Adjusting her back against the cold bark, Theresa kept playing with the flower, changing its colour. She could hear the snow softly crunch under the feet of four people walking towards her.
Her head was declined, looking at the little flower, but three pairs of black snow boots slipped into her peripheral vision, before stopping before her.
