“Professor, Adriana is way too young to bare this mission! She’s too young to be a spy!”
“I can’t see anyone who can do this job aside from her! And she’ll do better because she’s not doing this only for Nowhere, but also for her family. She’s stronger than anyone else because she’s fighting for something.”
I completely concealed my presence but Professor Oliver still felt my presence. That’s the headmaster for you!
“Right? Iana?” I entered his office and bowed down.
“Leslie, you may leave.”
I stood up and Professor opened a Bottle of Memory. Smoke went out of it and the place we’re standing on became different. It was night. I saw vice Commander Conrad, with another rym. Its wing is glowing in the dark. It’s a Saltah! I was about to attack them but I remembered that we used a Bottle of Memory. It’s just a memory, it brought us to that memory. We can hear and see them, but they can’t.
“8 in the morning, Seedling Campus.” Said Conrad, then they both flew away. The memory then vanished. It turned into smoke and went back inside the bottle.
“Gin, my previous spy was able to record this by the Bottle of Memory. It’s his tigrine.” He gave me a black hood and a grey mask.
“Your first mission: kill vice Commander Conrad. Never expose your identity.” Professor vanished after that sentence. It’s probably his teleportation tigrine that covers 1 mile. I put the hood in my bag.
I walked out of the Seedling Campus in a hurry. What should I do? It sounded easier than done. How could I kill someone that skilful? He’s the vice commander of the Vanguards! When I exited the camp, a group of bullies were flying. They threw stones at me.
“Hey flightless rym! What faction did you get in? Probably, you’re factionless!”
That pissed me off. I don’t want any disturbances when I’m in the middle of thinking! I focused 50% of my bollix to my left leg, and the other half to my right. I bent and jumped high, I was in the same level as they are. I shifted the 40% of my bollix to my right fist and punched one of them. He went down on the ground with a BANG!
Because of that punch, my sleeve went up and they saw a silver bracelet on my right wrist.
“Y-Y-Y-You’re a Vanguard?!” And they all flew away. That’s right babies! Run and cry!
“Adriana.” I heard Leslie’s voice from my back. “Follow me.”
Les and I went back in the Camp. We went to the Training Grounds. No one was there. She took a ring from her pocket and put it on her left thumb.
“We’re not allowed to use neither our tigrines, nor our weapons. When you’re able to get this ring from me, it means you’ll be able to complete your mission.”
“Let’s begin.” With a snap, I was already beside Les. I saw her eyes widened. I was about to get the ring but she rolled sideward and ran away from me.
“I told you were not allowed to use our tigrines!”
“I didn’t Les!” Well. That’s true. It was my pure strength. I was chasing and sparring with her for 5 hours but I wasn’t able to get the ring from her.
“Why don’t you make a strategy? It’s taking you so long.”
Well. I already thought of something, but I’m enjoying this game. I enjoy chasing her, and practicing my combat skills. Leslie is skilled and fast. She’s a pro. It’s an honour to train with her.
