Chapter 3: "Screw Enrique"
"Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" By P!nk
Now that we have officially gotten into filming and further into filming, my first pay check came through. And I still have money from the last movie, from Dear Bianca Bellamy, and from the commercials and TV shows I had been on. This sequel money was just more than I had ever needed. And since I have gotten so much more popular and have been in higher demand than ever before I'm getting paid so much more than the last movie. Needless to say, with my minimalistic lifestyle, I had more than enough money than I knew what to do with. It's literally the best feeling in the world. I buy from the non on sale aisle at the grocery store, I don't need to struggle to find coupons to save money on gas anymore and now I pay the bill at dinner, and right now, I was going to definitely pay the check at this dinner.
Wes, Riley or otherwise known as red top girl, Violet and I were on a double date at Frankie's, that 1950s retro diner Violet works at. I figured a double date between someone Riley knows aka Violet would make Wes and Riley getting to know each other a little less awkward just in case they couldn't find anything to talk about. Violet had taken a break from her shift and was still in her red lined and white formal shirt and skirt uniform. She had on that same red pride bracelet that she never took off either. She always looked so good. Wes was even dressed up. He had on his blue button-down shirt but honestly, he should have worn something without sleeves because the guy was sweating profusely under his arms. He was so damn nervous about this girl. We were in a retro diner not the Nobu at Malibu, he was way over dressed. Riley was just in a t-shirt and some jeans shorts and you could tell she felt undressed compared to Wes. I never really got all that dressed up so I mean, I couldn't really help Wes out here. He looked like he was a guest lecturer at some university somewhere but man, the guy was trying.
Violet had her arm around me in this little booth towards the corner of the restaurant whereas Wes was all the way on one side and Riley was on the other. They just chuckled uncomfortably at our smiles. "Wow you guys are so awkward around each other! Wes scoot closer to her!" Violet blurted out. She never had any problem speaking out but yet nor did I. "You two look like sixth graders who are on a supervised date with one of you's moms! Get closer together!" I screamed out. Damn, Violet and I were so similar. She was pretty much just the blonde muscular version of myself. Wes slowly, and poorly, inched closer to Riley.
"There you go! Alright better." I stated. "Don't worry. Don't worry. It'll get easier I promise." Violet said as she looked into my eyes. I felt my heart flutter. "Were you two this awkward on your guys' first date?" Riley joked. Wes just sat there and giggled so painfully. "Umm..." Violet chuckled and so did I. I'm sure we were thinking the same thing. "Well, the thing is, I don't remember." Violet laughed so I decided to fill them in. "We were originally going to go to Benihana." "The place that cooks food in front of you." Violet helped out. "But they were way too busy. So instead, we went to a club in West Hollywood." "Rage." "Danced the night away, got really trashed together and..." "Yeah." Violet giggled into my eyes.
"'Yeah' is code for you two fucked afterward, yeah?" Riley shout out and Wes chuckled. Violet and I looked at each other, smiles forming at the edges of our lips. And then we couldn't stop laughing. "Yeah." We nodded. And in the corner of my eye, I could see Riley soften up at bit and scoot a little closer to Wes. I smiled.
A photo of all four of us sitting at that booth together ended up on a couple LGBT fanpages on Instagram. Then it ended up on Twitter, then on Tumblr and then on fucking TikTok somehow. I guess someone, recognized me there, took our photo without us even knowing it. I apparently was blowing up pretty big enough for just people at a restaurant who didn't have the best view of my face could recognize me. It's crazy. It even showed up on that Us Weekly magazine. It showed up as an article on there. The title was: "Miles for Violets Star Alyssa Barron is Spotted with Girlfriend and Friends at Local Diner. Possible Double Date?" They were right it was a double date. It was pretty cute the amount of people who were saying sweet things about Violet and I. I really liked all that positive attention between the two of us. My fans are honestly the sweetest.
