[Aaden's POV]

I walk up the stairs to Aaden's room and walk into his bathroom. I look into the mirror and whisper to myself, "This is practically a date, right? I need to LOOK good, I don't want to be seen looking bummy." I search through Ryder's bathroom cabinet looking for something to fix my hair with. I find some gel. I put just a little in my hands, not a lot, or else it won't look natural and I run my hands through my hair. My hair begins to curl up. "Perfect." I say. I walk out of the bathroom and grab my phone off the dresser, wow, I can't believe I've barely picked it up the whole time I've been here. Usually I would be on it all the time.

I walk down the stairs slowly looking through my phone notifications. There's a lot of notifications I need to look through eventually. Ryder is leaning against the wall on his phone waiting for me. I clear my throat. He looks up at me and smiles, "Wow, you look great Ade." I smile back, "Thanks", I say, "I tried. Now let's go." Ryder walks behind me, I open the front door, and continue walking to the car. The sunset is really beautiful tonight. I close the door of the passenger's side and Ryder gets in the car not too long after. "Are you excited?", he says, "Because I know I am, and I've been to the fair plenty of times." I laugh, "Duhhhh, I'm super excited, that's why I was so eager to leave the house." Ryder laughs along with me and starts the car, and we pull out of the driveway.

About 2 minutes into the drive, the silence isn't even awkward, it feels comfortable. But I turn on the radio just to fill it anyway. I place my hand on the arm rest between our seats. Ryder places his hand on top of mine. Shivers go throughout my whole body. Ryder pulls his hand away quickly, "Woah, are you okay? What was that?" he says. I just shrug because I dunno. I shake it off and place my hand back in the same spot, and he does the same exact thing. "I wonder what that was? That felt way different than just being cold. It felt more hot than anything" I think to myself. I stare out the window as everything goes by quickly, the sky is so beautiful, covered in pinks and blues. It almost looks like cotton candy. Soon enough the forests and trees turned into a more urban area passing by. I can see a huge... ferris wheel, in the distance. At least I think that's what it's called. I move my hand away from Ryder's and tug on his shirt. "Look...." I say, "It's huge." He laughs, "I know, just wait until you get closer." My smile grows bigger as we get closer to it. But we turn into a gate? My smile fades. "What are we doing?" I ask. "We have to park, and then we walk up to it." He responds. "Ohhhh..." I say under my breath.

After about 10 minutes of searching we finally find a parking spot. Ryder quickly gets out and comes to open my door. I freeze, I can't get out. There's so many people here. My anxiety is in space at this point. Ryder frowns, "I can tell you're nervous.." He holds out his hand, I take it and he pulls me up out of the car and shuts the door behind me. We hold hands side by side. "Just don't worry, with me you'll always be safe, nobody can hurt you or anything." I just nod. I think I can trust him, at least I hope I can. I want to trust him. We walk up to what I believe is the booth for tickets. Ryder holds up his phone and the woman in the booth scans it. How does that even work? Ryder holds out his right arm and the woman puts a dark blue wrist band on him. He looks at me and motions his head towards the booth, I guess I do the same. I hold out my arm and she puts a wrist band on me also. "Have fun Alpha, hope you two have a nice night!" she says smiling and waving. Huh? That is the second person to call Ryder 'Alpha'. What does Alpha even mean? Ryder tugs at my hand a little making me forget what I was thinking about. "Look Ade! It's the ferris wheel you were talking about!" he says. My facial expression turns into a big bright smile that I can't even control. "I really wanna get on that!" I basically yell, it's so loud here. I almost jump out of excitement and let go of Ryder's hand to run to the line. Ryder grabs my hand and pulls me back close to him before I can even make it yards away. "I think we should save it for last since you're so excited." He says and smirks at me. I do nothing but pout and try to make puppy dog eyes. He points over in the distance to distract me. "Look it's cotton candy, have you ever had that?" he says. My eyes widen in excitement. I shake my head, I've hear of it though. "Then let's go grab some." I basically skip swinging his arm with me as we make our way over there. I can already tell tonight is going to be a good night.
