[Aaden's POV]

After what felt like a life time of walking. Ryder and I finally make it to the house. It was quiet when we walked in. I saw no cars in the driveway so I'm assuming nobody's home. It's always pretty quiet here though. "Cmon babe", I hear Ryder say gently and he puts his hand on my back motioning for me to go upstairs. I can feel the warmth of his hands through my shirt. All I can say is that I missed that while I wasn't here. The feeling of him touching me is too great to describe. I give into him pushing me gently along up the stairs. I walk a bit ahead of him since I already know where his room is and don't need help anymore. That's sort of a sign I'm getting comfortable here.

I slowly open the door and take a deep breath, yup. I missed this. I quickly go to his bed and flop down onto the bed. I take another deep breath, I also missed the nice smell of his cologne all over his room and everything in it. "I see you missed home hm?", Ryder says with a little smirk on his face. "I mean, of course, this is literal heaven compared to the hospital beds." Ryder nods and walks over to his side of the bed to sit next to me. He clears his throat which makes me turn my head over to him, "Hm?" Ryder shakes his head. "Nothing-" he says but continues his sentence anyway, "I can't be sorry enough for having you end up in the hospital." I quickly sit up in disbelief, "Really? I already told you not to be sorry, I'm fine now and that's all that matters."

A small smile reappears back on Ryder's face. I smile right along with him, I don't like seeing him down in the dumps. "Now that's what I like to see" I say as I open my arms doing 'grabby hands' implying that I want a hug. Ryder notices me and wraps his muscular arms around my waist and pulls me onto his lap. That makes a small shiver run through my body. He lets puts a small giggle and squeezes me harder. I feel really safe in his arms, like no harm can come. I close my eyes and just give into the feelings.

He puts his head into the crease of my neck and takes a very deep breath. I think it was a breath of relief, which I understand, today and yesterday were very eventful. "You smell really good, by the way I have something to tell you." Ryder says. I just nod in response, because I'm too focused on having him all over me. "We need to get you signed up for school today, we go back in a week." I jump in shock, scared that I didn't hear that correctly at all. "Huh? What?!" I exclaim. Ryder nods slowly, "Yup, we can go now and get it over with or we can wait til' later." I cross my legs and arms and pout. I over-dramatically sigh. "I guess we can go now."
I get up up off the bed and put my shoes my back on. I look over to Ryder who I see on the bed just staring at me, scanning my body up and down. He seems like he's really into his thoughts right now. Are they about me? I grab one of my arms "So, are we gonna go?" He snaps out of what seems like a trance and quickly grabs his keys off his bed side table, "Oh yeah, okay, let's go"

I walk way ahead of him as I make my way to the door. I unlock the door and open it to see another car pulling into the driveway. I think it's his mom. I don't feel like talking to anyone right now so I get into the car as fast as I can.

After what feels like forever I see Ryder finally walk out the door, but he stops in the middle of the driveway when he sees his mom. She gets out of her car and greets him. They talk for a little bit and Ryder finally comes to the car. He opens his door and gets in. I turn my head to him and raise one eyebrow "What did you guys talk about?" He laughs, "She was just asking how you were, she was really worried, she's the one who helped me when I was in panic about you." Here comes the guilt. "Oh...." is all I can get out. I slowly turn back to look out the window as I feel the car start. Now I feel really bad for avoiding her before. She was probably worried sick. Does she... care?
