Aaden's POV
(°Small time skip°)

Without words the whole drive and just music from the radio. I start to see a large building that looks like it can hold a million people. I guess that's the high school.. We slowly turn into the entrance which makes me just a bit scared.

"I'm scared" I say very quietly under my breath so Ryder can't hear me. "Don't be scared Ade, this is just registration, it will be quick and easy." I quickly turn my head towards him "How did you-" I start. "Werewolf remember?" Ryder says with a little laugh as he parks the car. "Are you ready for this?" Ryder quietly asks me. I take a deep breath, "As ready as I'll ever be I guess." Ryder gets out the car and comes to my side. I unbuckle my seat belt as he opened the door for me. I get out the car and put on the fakest smile I can.

Ryder grabs my hand as he swings the door to close behind me. He squeezes it gently to remind me that I'm okay. "Simple and easy" I repeat to myself to keep my calm. The smile I put on just for this occasion starts to fade. I can't believe I'm going to be starting in a real high school, at least I won't be here long. I hope they don't think I'm dumb since I've never been to a real school.

(Quick switch) [Ryder's POV]

After making our way through the large deserted parking lot because I picked an unfortunate place to park, we finally make it up to the building. I press the button that automatically opens the door so I can keep hold of Aaden. The cool refreshing  air from the school hits us both. We make our way to the office to just see one lady sitting at a desk. I think I recognize her but I'm not quite sure. I open the door for Aaden and he awkwardly walks in and steps to the side making way for me so he can follow. The lady at the desk quickly looks up, noticing our presence in the room. "Oh look what we have here," she says in a very sweet tone, "Mr. Moon, wasn't expecting to see you back so soon." She lets out a small laugh to lighten the mood. Oh, well I guess she recognizes me, but at the same time, who would. I think she can tell how nervous Aaden is as he stands beside me fiddling with his hands. I let out a small laugh to go along with it, "Yeah... I'm here to register a new student." I say. She pushes her very thin-framed glasses closer to her eyes, "Oh I see! Gimme a second sweethearts" she says as she gets up and heads further into the office. I look over to Aaden to see how he's doing and he quickly looks up at me and back down. "I like her so far..." he says quietly.

The woman hands us a clipboard with a couple papers and a pen on it. God it feels like the doctors office with all the paper work... "You can just go over there to sit and fill it all out, no rush." I hand the clipboard off to Aaden and follow him to a chair. He sits down softly and I sit in the chair beside him. "You know everything about yourself right?" He quickly nods and gets to writing away.

I smile, I think he's starting to feel a bit better about this. After playing around on my phone for a bit I look up to see the lady at the desk motioning for me to come to her. I get up from my chair and walk over to her. "So who is that?" She asks. I clear my throat, "Oh... he's my... my mate?" I accidentally say 'mate' like it's a question. She tilts her head and furrows her brows. I fix my mistake, "He's my mate, just found him not long ago" I say very confidently. "Well congrats! I always love to see our students find their soulmates and live happily!"  She says excitedly.

As me and her continue to talk about small topics I hear Aaden voice a small "done". I go and grab the clipboard from him and motion for him to follow me. I hand the lady the clipboard and smile. She quickly skims through the papers. "Oh sorry sweetie, you don't seem to have a parent or guardian here, all the signature spots are blank." She frowns. "I don't-" Aaden starts before I cut him off. "I can sign for him!" I say trying to keep him from revealing himself like that. She raises her eyebrows, "Usually we wouldn't let that happen but since you're Alpha I'm going to let it slide."

I quickly scribble my signature on multiple pages, taking full responsibility for Aaden. I finally finish, hand cramping up from all the writing. How did he not get tired of this? She nods and tells us goodbye.

Aaden and I make our way back to the car. He gets into the car as I start it and buckled himself up. He sighs and slouches down into his seat, all this must have been a lot for him. After driving for a bit I try to start conversation. "Told you, simple and easy" I say trying to destroy the silence in the car. He slightly smiles, "I guess that wasn't so bad, I'm glad that lady let us get by because I didn't have a parent or guardian. That was sweet of her." I smile right along with him.

"Looks like I'm your guardian now, I was serious when I said I was going to protect you." I say. He laughs and that leaves a small never-fading smile on his face throughout the whole ride. I love to see that on him... I think he's getting comfortable...
