Over the last few minutes of their stay, Bucky, Steve and Sam had been eating non-stop.

"God I really need to stop eating too much," Sam groans muffled noises, unable to resist the inevitable temptation of food. "But...it just tastes so good."

"I would say the same to myself," Steve sighs, drinking coke from a straw. "If I won't stop, I'd get fat."

"You're fucking kidding me, right?" Sam eyed him. "Tell me you're just kidding."

"No I'm not!"

"You have a super-soldier serum in you!" Sam argues, practically almost yelling. "Your metabolism is four times faster than that of an average human! You won't ever gain weight."

"Suuuure..." Steve rolled his eyes.

"Steve, you never get drunk."

"Oh I got drunk once."

"That's when you didn't had the serum in ya, Stevie," Bucky teased, cutting off Sam from whatever he was about to say. Steve almost blushes at the nickname. Almost. "It was quite a funny memory, remembering when you first drank beer."

"Gosh, Buck. Don't remind me." Steve groans, burying his face in his hands in embarrassment. It totally wasn't fun reminiscing a memory you wanted to forget so bad. What's there to remember anyway when you're drunk and couldn't pin point things?

"Oh?" Sam smirks. "That's some good tea right there. Do spill, Barnes."

Steve stares coldly at Bucky, who smirks back at him. It's his small way of saying, he's inevitable.

"Drunk Steve never gets embarrassed of anything," he continues, ignoring Steve's silent plea to stop. "He was so loud that night—he'd been singing songs to the top of his lungs and he danced like a total idiot. I can show you how he did it—"

"Okay! It ends there," Steve cuts him off before all of his dignity are lost. "I get it. I'm very weird when I'm drunk. Which I'm happy it's never gonna happen again."

"You look so adorable when you get drunk..." Bucky mumbled to himself, trying his very best not to look like a fiery tomato in front of his friends. Yeah. Steve is just a friend.

"What was that?" Steve asked, raising a brow.

"N-nothing," he blushes. Damn it.

"I really had a fun night with you guys!" Sam smiles as he lowers down the volume on the car radio. The whole trip home was just Sam and Steve singing to the top of their lungs, while Bucky tries to catch up on everything.

He just wonders how Steve has learned so much. He's catching up on everything he missed so fast, while he sits there, unable to understand anything at all. He was too brainwashed and used by Hydra to even learn about what's happening to the outside world.

He missed this.

All of a sudden, he's just taken back to the old memories of him and Steve roaming around Coney Island, eating hotdogs and hopping on rides, even though they were financially tight. Sarah wanted them to enjoy everything. They were so happy together, but the war was just...so inevitable.

Before any more war flashbacks would even play in his weak mind, Bucky managed to shake it off before he cries and ruins the happy moment.

"Thanks, Sam. For everything," Steve replies. "I appreciate it."

Sam doesn't even expect a reply from Bucky, assuming he wants to keep his reputation of being a salty ass to him every time. "I guess I'll see you guys tomorrow?"

"Sure thing."

Steve hops out of the car, while Bucky stays for a little longer.

"One more thing," Bucky speaks. "Next time, please move your seat up a little bit."

Sam smirks back. "No."

Quite unhappy with his response, Bucky gets out, slams the door shut. The two stay outside for a little bit, watching Sam's car fading away in the distance.

"I'm tired," Bucky announces as they walk back inside their shared apartment. "I think I'm just going to chill on the couch."

"Okay," Steve replies. "Do you wanna eat some more food?"

"Steve, we ate so many hotdogs just a few minutes ago."

"I still feel kinda hungry."

"Then that's on you!" Bucky scoffs playfully, a smirk forming on his lips not long after. "I thought you didn't want to get fat?"

"Oh, piss off."

"Make me."

Bucky gives him a playful look. A very much tempting look, if you ask Steve. Gosh, he could just kiss him right there-

No. He can't.

"You win this time," Steve sighs in defeat. "How about we watch some movies to kill time?"

"Fine. Which Disney movie are we gonna watch next, huh, Stevie?"

God, that nickname. It sends Steve off the edge.

Bucky must've noticed Steve's "uncomfortable" reaction. "Sorry. I know that nickname is weird. I'll stop calling you that if you wan—"

"N-no! No, gosh no," Steve was quick to reply, blushing furiously. "I...I like it."

Bucky stares at him for a while. "...o-oh. Okay."

They look away from each other, both blushing furiously in embarrassment. Steve is so humiliated to even stutter out his words because he is just so madly in love with his adorable best pal.

God, I want to tell him, but how?

Bucky, on the other hand, isn't taking things too well. He knew he shouldn't have asked Steve to kiss him on top of that ferris wheel. The goal was to move on from Steve, not to fall in love with him even more!

Gosh, stop blushing for once, Buck! Steve doesn't like you. Get over it. He only kissed you because you were so desperate.

Yeah. You're just desperate.

"I guess Frozen 2 would be a great movie to watch."
