Luna's POV

11:01 am, Thursday

I threw the bottle at Roman and walked away, leaving the poor guy behind.

Tsk.

Nathaniel, trailing behind me as we walked to my office.

He then opened the door to the room and allowed me to go in first.

I sat down and started reading.

It's time for me to find out about this 'Phoenix' guy.

As I opened the file, I was surprised as to why there was no photo.

Strange.

Despite that, I started reading into his informations and records.

Name: Phoenix Lee II

Sex: M

Age: 19 yrs old

Nationality: Italian-American

Parents: Unknown

Blood type: O negative

School: Manhattan University

Occupation: Unknown

After I finished reading it, I layed my head down once more since my head was still throbbing.

"You shouldn't have done that." Nathaniel spoke.

I was startled by his comment, since I forgot that he was even here. I ignored him in response to show him I'm not in the mood to talk.

"He was trying to be nice, Luna." He continued as I watched him walk towards the mirror to fix his tie.

"And you knew the guy for 6 years! Did you really have to be that rude?"

He was still struggling with his tie while he spoke to me.

By now, I already sat myself on the table as I listen to the old man talk.

"Yes, the man can be a bit of an ass, but come on. He was also your father's under boss, maybe you should respect him the way your father did." After that he finally faced me.

I stayed silent as I stared down the man in front of me. Thus making him uncomfortable.

I stood up and started walking towards the man.

I stopped just a few feet away from him and motioned for him to come closer.

He was shocked at my sudden gesture so he questioned as to why he should do the said action.

"Because I said so." I answered calmly.

He then took a big step towards me. As he came closer, I pulled his tie and snipped it with the scissors that I hid behind me.

"Stop fixing your stupid tie, everyone knows it's fake."

"And you barely even knew my dad. That man was the worst human being in the world, he respected no.one. He's also the reason why I'm even in this fucking mess." I informed so as to be clear that my father was also an ass.

"The only great thing that bitch taught me was how to use a fucking gun." After I finished, I walked past the man in front of me and left the room.

"Come on, let's get some coffee." I casually told him like nothing happened.

I started walking to the garage, not even bothering to see if Nathaniel was behind me or not.

"You. Ruined. My. Tie." He angrily remarked as we entered the car.

"Well, you should've kept your mouth shut." I answered back. Sticking ny tongue out to tease him even more.

He glared at me after I laughed at his uneven tie.

"Witch." He barked as he started the car.

"Bitch." I smiled at him as I sat back and enjoyed the ride to my favorite coffee shop.

Phoenix's POV

11:32 am, Thursday

Only thirty more minutes, and my shift is finally over.

I told myself as I gave some lady their order.

As I walked back to the counter, I quickly sat back at my chair since there was no customers left for me to take orders from.

My head was throbbing due to lack of sleep. I was so tired.

I tried so hard to stop myself from dozing off but alas, failed.

I didn't have much sleep last night.

Even just one blink.

While I was walking home, I could still feel the adrenaline coursing through my body.

By the time sleep was about to take over, my alarm went off.

I'm gonna throw that clock to hell.

I groan as I felt a new wave of pain in my head. It's impossible for me to have a hangover since I didn't even drank last night.

I layed my head down and closed my eyes. Just for a few seconds.

I will never forget last night's escapade.

The dance.

The booze.

The chase.

The song.

The almost kiss.

Yeah, that was a disaster.

"Ehem." I heard a man's voice up front, causing me to snap out of my thoughts.

As I looked up, I was shocked.

My jaw hypothetically dropped to the floor as I stared at the people in front of me.

I immediately got up and fixed myself as i gawked at the lady and the old man she's with.

It was like history repeated itself.

The man she was with stared at me with a shocked face as he nudged the woman beside him.

Was I given another chance to correct yesterday's mistake?

"Luna!"
