Madison's POV~2 months later~
"Hey! What are you doing here?" I smiled as I pulled my brother into a hug.
Not long ago I decided to let my parents know I was here, and I've been staying at their place ever since. Of course I didn't tell him the reason I decided to come here.
"I came to check the mail, I'm waiting on a letter." He said. "Also, I heard that Justin is coming to meet Dad for some business meeting."
My heart stopped, Jason is coming here?
"To the house?" I asked. "Yes, they arranged some dinner. Did dad not tell you?" He said. "No!"I said. "Well, since they still think the two of you are still together, they probably think he told you. You know, I think it's time you tell them." Ezra was the only one who knew Justin and I were not together.
"When is he coming?" I asked. I need to get out of here, I can't risk seeing him. I haven't talked to him in three months, I can't now. I'm not ready.
"Today, I don't know when though."
"Madison, why are you not dressed?" I closed my eyes and turned around. There was my loving father with Jason standing next to him.
"Didn't your mother tell you about the dinner? Go get dressed before the rest of the men get here." He said. "Yes daddy." I said and turned around, completely ignoring Jason's presence.
I went to my room and did my best at getting ready.
I sat in front of my vanity and finished my makeup. I have been done for a couple of minutes, but I was stalling, I did not want to face Jason. I was nervous, and a little scared. I haven't seen this man in months, I haven't talked to him, he hasn't contacted me either, just like he said he would.
I heard a knock on my door and heard it being open, making me look up at the mirror to catch the reflection of whoever was at the door. Jason popped his head in and cleaned his throat to get my attention.
"Uh... your dad sent me to get you." Jason said in a deep raspy voice. I nodded and got up.
"Madison..." oh no, what is he going to say? Please don't talk about us, not now. I was already shaking, I could feel my legs wobble as I walked towards him.
"Since you haven't told your father about our breakup, I'd appreciate if you kept it like that just until this trip is over. I don't want drama getting in the way of work."
Okay... not what I expected to hear from him. However, I just nodded in agreement with him. I mean, it's the best thing right now. I don't want to drop this on his business dinner and cause a scene in front of all his associates.
