The sound of cars passing by and my phone alarm beeping noisily can be heard as I come to my senses. The blinding light from the window made me quickly shut my eyes close as soon as I open it. Despite the effort of putting curtains to lessen the light coming in, it still fails.
I grumble as I yawn and sat down on my bed, turning off the alarm. Still not fully awake, I squinted my eyes at the two blurry strangers sleeping on the floor with blankets.
Ah right, last night. .
I quickly remember how I went searching for Kamado-kun because of his late-night call, meeting another version of Kamado-kun and me, and ended up bringing those two into my house yesterday.
I swallowed my saliva and sighs, sounding tired despite just waking up. "It's not a dream."
After gathering enough motivation, I gaze at the two sleeping on the blanket-covered floor. I wish I could prepare a futon for them instead but Kaigaku-nii was outside for quite a while. Being really exhausted yesterday, I couldn't afford to stay awake any longer and thus gave Tanjiro and Zenitsu a blanket instead of a futon. Seeing as they seem to sleep peacefully, I suppose it was comfortable enough to sleep in thankfully.
I stood up and stretched my arms and legs, letting out a small but satisfying groan. I went out of my room and headed downstairs, intending to go to the bathroom to prepare myself for school. Ugh.
To my surprise though, Kaigaku-nii was there in the living room.
"Geh, Kaigaku-nii,"
Unconsciously I showed my surprise and dissatisfaction clearly. Kaigaku-nii quickly picks it up and turns to me while holding a cup of milk, glaring.
". . .Geh?"
"A-Ahhh, It's nothing. It's nothing."
A moment of silence was shared with both of us. I kept on avoiding his glare, hoping he won't ask any questions and just let me pass him by. This is uncomfortable. I quickly finish my last steps heading down the stairs and tries to casually pass him by.
"W-Well then. . I'll go to the bathroo—"
"You."
"Yes?!"
". . .You went home very late yesterday and while you were going upstairs, I have a feeling I heard footsteps of someone. . no. . two people other than you. Then when you see me just now, you sound oddly surprised."
Here it is. Ah geez. Kaigaku-nii, stop being so sharp with your hearing. That's my role.
"Runt. . . Are you hiding something from me?"
". . . .Huh? Hiding something from you? No, no. No way. It's probably just your mind tricking you yesterday when you heard footsteps other than me. I came home on my own."
"You're not lying to me, are you?"
"Whatt?! Lie?? I would never lie. Have I ever lied to you?"
"You have."
"Ah. That's true,"
I defeatedly admitted it.
"B-But this time! I didn't lie to you. Seriously."
