-If your heart is moved by seeing or touching someone, listening or talking to them, then it is called affection-Light reflected off the surface of the small sapphire pendant, creating a bright blue shadow on the white wall of the room. Light filtered through the pale curtains, brightening the room as the Sun rose up. The pure white fluffy covers moved, a mop of brown painting the surface of a snow-white pillow as the figure stirred. The angel sat up, rubbing his eyes with his hands as he looked around cluelessly for a moment before realizing where he was.
The sapphire pendant fell softly on his neck, resting between his sculpted collarbones that peeked out from his oversized grey hoodie. The angel slowly touched it, a beautiful smile forming on his lips as his cheeks took up the colour of fresh roses. His fingertips grazed the necklace softly before he stepped out of his warm bed.
His life had changed so much in the span of two months. It was as if his life had been a black and white painting and a certain someone had blown colour into it. Seokjin smiled wide, his hair rapidly changing colour to a shade of strawberry.
He had never thought that his life would turn out this way, but he wasn't complaining at all. It was as if that one demon had placed a spell on him and become the centre of his universe. Everything in Seokjin's life now revolved around the blond Demon. The Demon who had taken care of him when his own father had turned a blind eye to him.
His thoughts instinctively made him reach for the pendant around his neck. After getting out of the clinic, Namjoon had brought him the pendant as an apology for the way his fellow Demon had treated him but his red cheeks had let Seokjin know everything. The small sapphire stone was a message bearer, a special stone for them to communicate and Seokjin cherished it with all his heart.
The young angel got ready for the day, his smile never leaving his face. He walked out of his house, greeting everyone he met as he walked towards his clinic. Unlike other bearer angels, who learnt chores to please their husbands, Seokjin worked hard to earn his own living. He owned a small animal clinic in the main market, slightly away from the busiest part of their realm. He was a successful vet, doing the thing he loved and earning respect for himself.
He spent his days cooped up in the clinic, taking care of pets and strays, helping them recover and basking in the happiness that he could bring a smile to people's faces. All the older males and females of the realm judged him for being so independent despite being a bearer but he turned deaf ears to them. After all, Angels were known to not commit any sins.
The pastel rainbow hue of the sky melted into a deep scalding orange, the big bright star setting into the sea of fluffy cotton candy clouds. The evening gave way to night and Seokjin found himself at his window, looking outside at the sleeping world as he waited for some kind of sign.
His pendant shone with the moonlight reflecting off its surface and he smiled happily. Closing his eyes, he let his large pearly white wings out, moving them a few times before he sneaked out, lying away where the piece of his heart awaited him.

Night rendezvouses always have a romantic side to them, no matter how chaste or sensual. There was just something about the way the woods let in a faint shimmer of blood-red moonlight, letting it fall on the healthy trees that stood at the border of the two realms. About the way, a single step could turn him more human. About the way the faint light made the forbidden angel look so sinful.
Namjoon took a step forward, walking into the unfamiliar but not unknown territory, leaving behind his vows and bonds just to trace the skin of a creature that was beyond his reach. He smiled at the older male, offering his hand which the brunette gladly took. smiling shyly as he led him into the woods.
The soft glow of the night found them sitting side by side under a large tree, the Demon's aura diminished to a soft dark glow. Seokjin rested his head on the younger's shoulder, tracing lazy patterns over the blond's shirt, their intertwined hands resting between them. There was no need to idle chat when the beating of their hearts had synchronized, sharing the same emotion.
"Joonie, I love you," Seokjin whispered, halting his movements as he waited for the response to his confession. Yes, they had made their feelings clear by actions but they had never voiced it out, too scared of the consequences that would follow. They both knew what they had gotten into. A love that was forbidden beyond belief, considered a sin in one realm and a taboo in the other.
Seokjin's hand flatted against the fabric of Namjoon's shirt, silently telling him to not say the words of rejection. Silently telling him to not break his heart. He tightly shut his eyes, hoping to memorize this warmth once again before it got taken away from him.
"I love you too." Came the words, a whisper so soft that it could've been mistaken for the soft rumbling of the winter breeze. But Seokjin knew it was real when a pair of soft lips rested on his forehead, giving him a chaste kiss as a large hand cupped his face. The Angel gathered his courage, opening his eyes and lifting his gaze to meet the other's.
"You do know what that means, right?" He asked softly, hoping with all his heart that this wasn't a sick twisted dream of his. "You- I- We're against everything, every rule and everyone!" He spoke with urgency, eyes filling up with tears faster than he could push them back. The younger looked at him and gave him a tender smile, taking all his doubts away.
"Since when have you ever cared about going against rules?" He asked as he leaned forward, his thumb swiping at the older's bottom lip as fresh tears poured out of Seokjin's eyes. Namjoon touched their forehead together, silently reassuring him as he cupped the angel's face in his hands. "I make a promise to you, Hyung. I'll always protect us." He spoke, sincerity lacing every word.
And at that moment, everything seemed right. From the way Seokjin was pressed up against a Demon to the way their lips moved in sync. From the way Namjoon would wipe away his tears to the way he looked at Seokjin as if he was the most precious thing in the whole Universe. And they let themselves believe that they could have a future together.
