The soft white wispy clouds flew around the feet of an entity. The ground was smouldering hot, deep red fumes rising up from it. The entity moved forward, unbothered by the strange situation. The woods were quiet, darkness all around him, swallowing him up. He walked through them, untangling the maze-like soft, wet strands of hair. A melancholic smile adorned his lips as he ran through the forest, hand brushing over the trees, rejuvenating them.
Looking up, the sky was still a bright blue. But just beyond the thick foliage lay the gloomy grey sky. Instead of the normal brightness of blue and dullness of grey, the sky was serene. The distant colours merged together like a beautiful ballad. The land was barren, with specks of green peeking out.
This was the edge of heaven and hell, where there was no happiness and no sadness, just a never-ending void of emptiness. This place was written in myths, a realm so surreal that it was hidden to everyone else. It was the birthplace of the rarest entities. Entities that were forbidden by law. But they still lived on, at least he did, untouched by the ageing universe.
This was 'Lacuna', the boundary where no one could attain complete salvation, and no one could sacrifice their soul to the demon. The waiting point.

"I can't believe you're really doing this to me." The heavy words escaped from the male's body as he stormed into the house, packing his things. A female followed him in, her expression exasperated as she tried to calm the other down.
"Would you please understand? I love him, Kook!" She said as she folded her hands. "Much more than you love me." The male quietly said as he walked to the other room, throwing his things haphazardly into his rucksack. He pushed her away by his shoulder, picking up his wallet and keys as he walked to the door.
"You're so damn selfish! There you go again! Running away from all your problems!" She fumed as she watched him freeze. "Mom and Dad aren't working so much for you to behave in the worst way possible." The male's hands turned into fists as he shook with suppressed anger.
"What did you just say?" She knew she had hit a sore spot, but there was no going back now. "You heard me. Get out!" She said as she shoved him out, closing the door in his face. He stood there for a split second, stunned before he turned around. Quickly climbing down the stairs and slinging his bag over his shoulder, he made his way out of the mansion.
The path was adored with cobblestones, all stepping stones for the furious male. The sky was a bleeding orange, sunset falling down to reveal the night lights. There was not a cloud in sight, except for the slight smog that had coated the world in a thin layer.
