Galen had studied the reports. The Republic had already deregulated the banks. And just when it thought things couldn't get anymore complicated, something bigger happened. If the reports were true. Deechi the senator of Umbara was stabbed to death.
"Umbara isn't going to let this go unpunished." Galen was telling Tobias.
Mila sat there silently on the bridge. She tended to do that a lot these days. But who could blame her? Both Pyrus and Mina Bonterri: the two people who gave Mila and Cathlyn another chance at a better life and took them out of the crap hole that was Coruscant. Now they were dead.
"Do you think Umbara is going to secede?" She asked.
"Well if they haven't already, they soon will." Tobias answered.
"Why not? I'd be pretty pissed off too if my Senator was murdered." Fishbach asked.
"Was he loved by Umbara?" Mila asked.
"It's complicated." Galen answered.
Umbaran society was an entire caste system. It was every hope for every Umbaran to be on top with the higher Castes. Senator was one of those higher castes. Kill a couple guys in the lower castes and nobody bats an eyelash. But when a high caste member is murdered. Then they care.
"Well we're keeping an eye on Umbara. In the meantime, we have a new mission to attend to." Tobias announced. He then pointed to the hologram map.
The hologram presented a projection of Thustra.
"Thustra?" Fishbach asked. Tobias nodded as he explained the mission.
"Thustra has been tipping it's scales recently on who to follow. And now like Raxus, Thustra saw the corruption of the Republic. The planet is critical to our success in the Expansion region." He explained.
"If we take Thustra we take the sector." Galen added.
"Exactly." Tobias replied.
"And what's our job?" Mila asked.
"Right now, we need to get the Republic off the planet. Through any means necessary." Tobias answered.
"So, we're fighting Clones again." Fishbach said.
"Possibly." Tobias answered.
"Good." Mila interrupted. "I want to kill some Lab Rats." She declared with an angry expression.
"Get our troops ready for battle." Tobias ordered.
The Raxus militia had doubled in size. Tobias now commanded 2,000 troops. He sent 1,000 home to defend Raxus. That still left Tobias with about 1,000 men at his command on the Volunteer. Along with the Battle Droids, Tobias now commanded a fleet of at least 4 frigates and 1 Cruiser to bring with him whenever he needed them. Thustra was a prominent temperate planet that reminded Tobias of Raxus. The species that ruled Thustra was the Sephi. The Sephi were humanoid creatures with pale purple/blue or pinkish skin and long brands of hair. They could live up to 200 to 400 years of life. They had seen a lot of action in their day. It came as a shock that they were finally willing to listen to the voice of reasons now that the Republic was becoming involved in a war with the Separatists.
The Raxus militia landed by the King's palace. Thustra was under the rule of King Alaric who had grown disgusted with the corruption of the Senate. It was a same feeling that Tobias had. Tobias got out and was greeted by Sephi guards.
"His majesty requests to speak with you at once." One of the guards ordered to Tobias.
Tobias started to walk up to the palace. The others followed as well but the guards stopped them. "I'm afraid your companions must stay here for now." Tobias looked at the guard then looked at Fishbach.
