Y/N

"Tony's gonna kill me for this."

Peter and I snuck out of the hotel, and found ourselves snacking on pretzels that we bought from a street vendor. It was pretty clear we weren't supposed to be running around Germany, but I couldn't resist the boy's puppy dog eyes.

"I'd save you," Peter smiled, waving the pretzel around.

"Spider-man is no match for the wrath of Tony Stark," I shrugged, "hate to break it to you."

"Then let's hope he doesn't find out."

We were sitting on the sidewalk curb, watching the cars whizz past us down the street. Amidst the loud honking and engine sputters, I found it peaceful to be watching the city come to life around us. I just wished us, meant something more than friends.

Peter grabbed the video camera from beside him, flipping it open and turning it towards my face.

"I'm here with the amazing y/n l/n," he said, as if he was the narrator in a major motion film, "tell us, how are you today?"

"I'm eating a pretzel," I smiled.

"That wasn't the question!"

"I know," I nodded, "but I'm still eating a pretzel!"

He flipped the screen back towards him, "and it was delicious!"

He turned it off, and stood back onto his feet, tucking the camera into his pocket. Holding out his hand, he waited for me to take it, but I hesitated. It was the little things he did that always sent me over the edge. To him, he was just helping me up. To me, it was him letting me hold his hand, even for just a second.

And it made me sad knowing that second was the only thing I had.

"Thanks," I mumbled, as he pulled me upright, "we should probably start heading back."

"You're right, it is getting late."

"Not to mention the fact that Happy will probably find out sooner or later."

INCOMING CALL FROM HAPPY HOGAN!

"I'm guessing he just did," Peter gulped, watching as I picked up the call.

"Hey!" I said, narrowing my eyes at the boy in front of me.

Technically, it was his fault for dragging me all the way out here. But of course, I was the assistant, so I had to take full responsibility. Great. Woo Hoo.

"Who died?" Happy said from the other side.

"I'm sorry?" I questioned, putting the call on speaker so Peter could hear.

"I asked, who died?"

"No one died, Happy."

"Then why haven't I heard either of you speak since you checked into your room?"

Oh no. The man didn't know we had snuck out, and unfortunately had noticed the unusual silence. Mainly because there was no one currently in the room.

"What are you talking about?" I lied, "we've been speaking..."

"We have thin walls. I would have heard it."

"Everything's okay!" I scrambled, pushing Peter towards the crosswalk, "we've just been watching Netflix!"

We needed to get back to the hotel before Happy actually did find out we were missing. I put the call off of the speaker, so the sound of cars wouldn't pick up into the mic as easily. That would be a dead giveaway.
