"Jacob, do you think my mom and dad are in a better place?" I said as he cuddled me in my room, my voice was cracked. I said he could go, but he insisted that he stayed with me, just in case I wanted to take any stupid action.
I'd cried and cried, I couldn't sleep, I kept having nightmares. I was grateful Jacob stayed.
"they definitely are" he said "they're good people so... It's obvious"
"why did they have to go now?"
"Andrea, everything happens for a reason"
"it's my fault" I shook my head slightly "it's my fault he died, if only I'd texted him that night, he wouldn't have been worried and maybe he would have been alive now" I sniffed, I had no more tears.
It was always my fault.
"I remember when I was 7, riding a bicycle outside." I started.
"My mom warned me not to ride there, that it was dangerous, a car could hit me since it was dangerously close to the road, and there were a lot of such accidents happening because of drunk drivers in our neighborhood"
"but of course I didn't listen, why didn't I just listen to her?"
"She came searching for me, and that's when she got run over by a drunk truck driver"
"She was rushed to the hospital, but she didn't make it"
"if only I'd listened to her Jacob, then she would have been here with me now" I said, closing my eyes, all I could see were memories my dad.
"it's not your fault, you were freaking 8, you didn't know any better" he said stroking my hair with his fingers, the sensation was soothing.
"stop blaming yourself for things you have no control of" he said.
I knew I had no control over it, that didn't stop it from being my fault.
"thank you Jacob, for everything"

The weeks went by slowly. Jacob had finally convinced me to move in with him.
I thought it was a totally crazy idea, but he said I needed to get over what happened, and he thought the best way was to leave everything that reminded me of my parents.
It was very difficult, but I did it.
I was going to move in with Jacob Kaur. I wondered what I was to him now.
We both had a connection to each other, but I was unsure.
I looked forward to the luxury I would be living in.
Everything that happened within the past few weeks was just wack and bizarre.
My phone pinged. It was a text from Ivan.
He'd almost completely recovered.
I told him to come over to Jacobs place as soon as he could.
I was in Jacobs car, heading towards his apartment.
"Jacob I can't believe I let you talk me into this" I said covering my face.
"it was so easy" he said. "I wonder what else I could talk you into doing" he said turning to look at me.
Those green eyes.
"you should probably stop looking at me and focus on the road before you get us both killed" I said "and stop talking shit" I added, he chuckled.
I loved the sound.
I turned to look at him.
Green eyes focused on the road, his nose was perfectly straight, his lips so pinkish red, his light brown hair was slightly messy.
