When I got back home that morning, I called Ivan and asked if he could come over.

He was the only one I could talk to.

Thirty minutes later, he was seated on the kitchen island while I made cupcakes.

"I feel like you're making a mistake" he said chewing something.

"Yeah, I feel that too, but... What if the feeling is wrong? Because it has to be, he's getting married Ivan" my voice cracked, I hated it, I hated the fact that this was happening and there was nothing I could do about it.

"You know what? You're right, you should probably move on, and accept the fact that this was never meant to be" he said jumping off the island to hug me, I hugged him back almost desperately as I cried.

I felt lost knowing I could never be with him, knowing that he would be with someone else, the thought hurt more than anything.

"What do I do now?" I asked as I put the cupcakes in the oven.

"Well, you should start by finding a job, you're probably going to get broke in a couple weeks if you don't" he paused "and working might make you forget about how much of a shithole your life is right now" he added laughing, i had to laugh too.

I'd only had two jobs in my life, turns out I was horrible at keeping jobs.

"Fine I'll think about it"

"Yeah when you do, I might have a spot in my workplace... Waiting for you" he shrugged and smiled.

I returned the smile, he was so sweet, I was lucky to have someone like him in my life.

He was a good thing, and good things always left...to be replaced with horrible things in my life.

~~~~~~~~
That night, I managed to convince him to sleep over, I didn't want to stay alone with my thoughts.
We watched horror movies in the darkness.
"Oh my God, Ivan this was a bad idea" I said and screamed at a scary scene.
"Calm down, its just a movie, you're overreacting" he said laughing. How could he laugh while watching a woman being torn to shreds by the most eerie looking monster ever!
"Are you even human?" I asked, with dead serious eyes, I'm sure my fear was evident in my face.
"No, of course not, I'm a vampire" he said baring imaginary fangs gripping my throat lightly and bending down to bite my neck playfully, I laughed and giggled like a six year old.
For a moment, I forgot all my problems.
We watched a romance movie next, I was a sucker for romance movies, I hated the fact that it brought the thought of Jacob to my head, nearly ruining my night, nearly.
A kissing scene came up, thinking about my first kiss was inevitable at that point, it replayed in my head over and over and all of a sudden, I was back at Jacobs apartment, sitting on his counter while his mouth and hands worked wonders on my body.
"Gosh Andy, you look so thirsty right now, damn" Ivan said with a laugh, I punched his arm playfully making sure it hurt him.
"Shut up!" I said laughing.
"I mean... Since you begged for it, I would have kissed you, but... I have a girlfriend" he shrugged winking at me with a smile while he ate from the bag of chips.
"Oh my...Ivan you're such a horrible person!" I scoffed smiling.
"No... I'm a horrible vampire... Remember" he rolled his eyes.
"Wait, you really have a girlfriend?"
"Yeah her name is Viviana" I could see his body relax at the sound of her name "I met her at the mall" he said I laughed
"What?!"
"I know right, its ridiculous, the one day I decided to go to the mall, I met her... Its crazy"  he chewed the chips noisily.
He never went to the mall, he didn't tell me the reason, but I strongly suspected it was because that's where his dad had his first heart attack... It was a traumatic experience for him.
"I would really love to meet her" I said "I'm so happy for you" I hugged him.
He was a gorgeous guy, heck he looked like a supermodel or something, getting girls to literally bow at his feet was not a problem, except me though.
That night, the last image I saw before I slept off was a pair of green eyes staring at me.
~~~~~~

I woke up and looked around the room with sleepy eyes I half expected to see Jacob standing beside the white curtains watching me like the creep he was.

I was disappointed, there wasn't any sexy man staring at me that morning.

Maybe he had decided to let me go and move on with his life knowing we could never be.

I decided to check out the job Ivan was talking about at the restaurant was still available.

I showered, brushed and dressed up in my grey hoodie that I loved so much and a pair of jeans.

I grabbed a few cupcakes, at least what was left, Ivan nearly ate them all.

I entered my dads car and drove off towards the restaurant, following Ivan's directions.

20 minutes later I arrived at one of the most fancy restaurants I'd ever seen. I didn't expect it to be fancy at all.

I'm sure they payed well too.

"Hey Ivan" I said spotting him as I stepped inside. He looked so adorable wearing an apron.

"Hey, you made it" he said hugging me.

"Yeah, I'm ready to... I dunno, work, and maybe keep a job this time" I said shrugging with a small laugh. He returned the laugh, I'm sure he felt my nervousness.

The manager said I could start at the moment if I wanted, I decided to start right away.

I tied my apron around my waist, it didn't look half bad on me... Not that I cared or anything.

Just as I was receiving my first order, a gorgeous couple stepped in.

I turned to have a better look at them...

Then I saw him, Jacob.

What the fuck was he doing here?

And... I turned to look at the beautiful blonde beside him... Valia?!

Was valia the ex he spoke of?

Oh no, literally anyone but her, I disliked her very existence.

Could this day possibly get any worse?
