A/N: Something I forgot the mention in this version Lux didn't leave the Separatists. He still tried to kill Dooku with Deathwatch and Ahsoka, but Dooku didn't want to look suspicious to the other Senators, so he 'forgave Lux for the misunderstanding.'
So Lux is still a separatist Senator. Of course, he's still good at heart though. And hates Dooku...
But you won't see Lux till the Next chapter sorry :(.
Ashoka felt like her humanity was being stripped away as she followed her new 'master' around the illegal market. She knew places like this existed and she cursed herself for not being able to do anything about it. 'Stay patient' she had to tell herself, comforting her with the idea that she'd come back and free them all.
James showed her off to everyone she could, such a good quality for no price at all, she was a new part of the collection to show off his power, and social standing. Ashoka was nauseous everything around her was vile, she could her animals screaming in their cages, mothers crying as their children were sold away. So much pain and unbalance the Force was revolting and taking it out on her head. She could feel its rage and pain, she'd never felt this close to Force but the pain distracted her too much to revel in this fact.
'I am here for a reason, I just have to stay focused and I can fix this... I can save them, all of them.' there was laughing in the back of her head, and an erratic voice that she knew as her own.
We kept walking around till someone approached us.
"Ahhh, James! How does it feel to be on the higher-ups' man." A random Rodian came up and said.
"Haha, Towalic, it feels good my man, Dooku said he would give me control of the Lothal system if my information is as good as it is." He laughed full himself.
'Okay, whatever he knows can cost us the War if he tells.'
"Why don't you just sell it to the republic?" The Rodian asked.
"Because I'm not dumb, the moment I do Dooku will come for my head." They both started laughing.
"What do you know that is so good?" His friend asked passing him a drink.
"Now, now, now why would I tell you? It would lose me Lothal. But hey I'll tell you a portion of the subject, for old times sakes." He looked around to make sure no one is listening.
"I have a list of Senators that are with the separatist. Even some of the most powerful politicians are with them. On top of that, I have dirt on other Senators, to make them join us." They both snickered.
"Along with that trade roots, strategies, and better yet locations of Jedi temples."
"Man I can't believe you pulled that off." His friend said slapping him on the shoulder.
"And I only got more."
They both said goodbye, and we kept walking through the market.
After a while, he called a speeder, and we drove off.
"So my new pet what is your name?" James said looking over at me. I gritted my teeth when he called me a pet.
Then like I was taught I acted afraid, I looked down and mumbled. "Aria Master."
I couldn't use my real name of course.
"Ahhhh Aria, you truly are a prize. Speak when spoken to, never look anyone in the eyes, and do what I say when I say it. Do you understand?" He said brushing my cheek with his finger, that I wanted to break.
I nodded, and he hummed in satisfaction.
The speeder stopped in front of a mansion that shinned like gold.
We parked, then a young tailhead boy about my age ran out.
"Barack! Take the luggage down to my quarters, then show my new slave around, and to her new quarters." He yelled at who I now know as Barack.
"Yes, master." Barack bowed, then grabbed to luggage, and cages of his new exotic illegal pets. I then hopped out of the speeder to follow him.
He put the hover settling into the boxes, and cages then began pushing them.
"Do you need any help?" I spoke softly, and kindly.
He looked around to see no one around us, then spoke, "it's not safe to talk, and why would you offer to take on my burdens?"
"Because it's the right thing to do." It broke my heart that my simple act of kindness shocked him.
He looked at me lost for words.
"These aren't too hard to push I got it... t-thank you." His eyes lit up at the end.
"My name is Aria, I'm 17," I said trying to get to know him.
"Barack, 17." He said short his words.
We went inside and put the luggage away, he then began to show me around.
"We wake up at sunrise and come here to make his first meal. Once he's done, we clean up the kitchen, then his quarter."
He walked by showing me room, to room, and the daily schedule.
"And this is where you will sleep, this is the slave quarters. There are five of us, that bed over there is open." It broke my heart looking into the room.
It was a small, dusty room with a few bunk beds. There were no personal items, and the beds looked to be made out of hay. There was one toilet, shower, and, sink.
"The only bunk left is mine, I can sleep on the top if you would like." He said tired and drained.
He was so sweet offering to take up his energy climbing, and down the top, so I would be comfortable.
I put my hand on his shoulder and looked at him.
"You're kind, but no. You need your strength more than I need mine, I have no problem taking the top." He then gave me smile.
"Where do your kindness come from Aria." He asked.
"We all are capable of it." He looked at me amazed, then a bell rang.
"That means we can go off to bed Aria." He answered my question before I could ask.
I climbed up the bunk and laid on what felt like hay.
"Goodnight Barack."
"Goodnight Aria."
'May the force be with me.'
I knew this mission would be hard.
But I will make it.
I tried to tell myself that I have nothing to lose.
But I do.
