♡📝 "Familiar"

This is a bit different... but I hope you enjoy~

I found myself getting lost among the crowd, chasing after...something or someone. I couldn't even remember the thing I'm after but it would be impossible to catch to it by now.

Too many people are around me and none of them seem familiar. None of them seemed friendly enough for me to ask questions.

I feel lost more than ever.

Panic is rising within me. And any hope I had is slowly being drained.

...

And then he came.

Like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. Like the moon on a dark night sky. Like a rainbow after the rain...

I've seen his face many times, perhaps not just in this current world. Seeing something so familiar made my heart dance in hope and joy.

He smiled when he saw me. "Hoy."("hey"), he greeted. (It wasn't the type of "hoy"/"hey" that was rude. It was more of a friendly, comforting greeting.)

He must've read my expression, and my expression I currently had must've been sadness or disappointment or hopelessness.

He held my hand, something I didn't expect him to do. He entwines our fingers. His hand feels surprisingly warm.

We locked eyes.

"Samahan kita." ("I'll go with you")

And just like that. It didn't matter what I had lost. I no longer needed what I was chasing for. He was there, and things are already right. He made things right. I felt complete.

Before I could say his name... before I could say anything at all... I felt myself fading away.

He was still looking at me and holding me as my surroundings turned to a blur then completely blacked.

I woke up. It was a dream.

Yet I could still feel the warmth of his hands on my hand.

I knew he isn't real. Just an idea from my brain. A part of my wild imagination.

But I muttered a small "thank you" before returning back to sleep. Hoping somehow in some way... he'll hear me.

To my dream boy, thank you for being there for me. Not when I want you, but when I need you.
