"Tomorrow is Nozomi's birthday... yet I still have no idea what to get her," I sighed. Deciding to text someone about it, I reached for my phone. I texted the first person I saw on my contacts, Umi.
<Eli: Hey Umi. Can you help me with something?>
<Umi: Of course, what is it?>
<Eli: You see, tomorrow is Nozomi's birthday and I still haven't decided on a present to give her. Do you have an idea on what she wants?>
<Umi: Unfortunately, I do not. However, you could go to the nearby mall and browse.>
<Eli: Great! You're coming with me too>
<Umi: What?! No way!>
<Eli: Come on! You can get a little gift for your Kotori too!>

Jeez.. I can't believe I got dragged into this. She deserved to be left on read.
"Hey! Umi!" I heard someone shout. Oh, it's just Eli.
"What took you so long?" I said, irritated.
"Sorry, I think I finally figured out what I'll get for Nozomi. So while I look for one that would look good on Nozomi, you can browse for something to give to Kotori," Eli smirked.
"I told you! We are not together!" I shouted at her, flustered.
