"Alright! We'll take a small break and then we'll do it one last time!" I instructed.
I wonder what's going on between Nico and Maki? They seem rather distant all of a sudden. Well I mean, they always have been bickering nonstop, but never to this extent has it been the two of them ignoring each other. Perhaps Nozomi knows.
"Hey Nozomi!" I called out to her, "Come here for a bit!"
"What could it be Umi?" She asked.
"Do you know anything about Nico and Maki?" I questioned.
"Indeed I do, but I recommend not doing anything. It'll spoil my secret plan to get the two of them together," She smiled, "On second thought, there is something you could help me with.

*Maki's POV*
I lay on my bed, curled into a beetle shape. Recalling what had happened the past few days, I asked myself. What's so good about Kimida that I don't have? Well.. maybe it's not that..
She probably hates me.. I guess I really can't do much about it. I'll accept the fate between us but..

I sit on the bench, quenching my thirst. Jeez, why did I have to go running with my siblings today? I just finished practice! I wonder how Maki is doing.. I hope she doesn't hate me..

{Next Day}
"1! 2! 3! 4! And change!" Umi shouted, "Perfect!"
"Phew.. That was tiring," Honoka said, "It's time for some bread!"
"Also, I decided we should start making new songs. Perhaps we could do some duets?" Umi suggested.
"That idea seems nice. What about everyone else?" Eli asked.
"Sounds fine with me," I said, followed by everyone else agreeing.
"Great. So for the pairs, we should have me and Kotori, Eli and Nozomi and...." Umi decided, "Nico and Maki."
Silence occurred. My eyes grew in larger each second. My hands were shaking. I stood rooted the ground, mouth agape. I couldn't say a word, no matter how hard I tried. But.. what if Maki hated me? There's no way we could make a song like this. Wait, maybe this is what Nozomi meant when she said she would help me?
"I'll do it," Maki said, sternly.
"Then I guess I'll do it too.." I followed.
"Then the due will be next Friday. Sounds nice?" Umi asked.
"Will do," Eli said.
"My plan is going to work. I'm sure of it," grinned Nozomi.

Why did I agree?! This is going to make things hard for me, especially when she decided to ignore me. How am I supposed to approach her when we haven't spoken in days?! Okay Maki, calm down. No need to worry..
Gah! Who am I kidding?! I'm definitely panicking right now! That's it! This is a dream! I'll just go to sleep and everything will be back to normal...
