𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐔𝐏𝐎𝐍 𝐀𝐍 𝐔𝐒 ~ 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐟𝐚𝐧 𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Kitty gasped and hunched over an unconscious Anna. She tapped her shoulders.

"Anna?Anna please, talk to me!" she half shouted in her panicked state. Kitty took a deep breath as Anna's eyes fluttered open. "Oh thank goodness..." Kitty held Anna's head in her arms

"Hey Kitty..." Anna smiled weakly, trailing her fingers across the cut on her face. "I'm so sorry, I should go..." Kitty put a finger to Anna's lips.

"I am not letting you leave," Kitty said firmly, helping Anna onto the sofa and closing the front door. She went to get wipes to clean Anna's wounds and an ice pack to put on her eye which had shut from swelling. Anna smiled in appreciation. Kitty brought her a blanket and went into the kitchen to get Anna a glass of water and a sandwich.

"You're staying here tonight," Kitty said protectively. She looked at Anna, wanting to know what happened but not wanting to pry. "Goodnight Anna," she smiled as she headed into her bedroom to go to bed. Anna settled into a restless slumber on the sofa, her dreams rewinding the days events.

In her dream Anna saw her relationship with Clarissa. 

Clarissa came up to her at a pride parade 2 years ago, looking very different to everyone else and standing quite awkwardly. "You're cute," she remembered her saying and the rest was history. Until it turned sour. Clarissa became jealous and oppressive, mean and moody. Anna subjected herself to daily beatings because she loved Clarissa even if she didn't love her back. She could see Clarissa's perfectly manicured hand moving towards her...

Anna screamed and awoke in a cold sweat. Kitty ran into the bright living room.

"Anna? Are you ok?" Kitty sat at the end of the sofa, nerves evident on her face. Anna smiled.

"I'm fine... just a bad dream..." Anna shivered. Kitty got her a cup of tea and some toast before going to grab herself a bagel and some cheerios.

"Can you... what... did she?" Kitty shook her head, not wanting to fall out with Anna when she wasn't able to leave. She turned on the television to a film and sat next to Anna, curled up next to each other.  Kitty was looking at Anna. God she was cute. Suddenly something came over Kitty. She gently kissed Anna's cheek, and then her big chocolate eyes went wide as she realised what she had just done.

"Kit-Kitty?" Anna said, her eyes wide with shock. She didn't know why Kitty had kissed her. She had a girlfriend. Or did she? Yes she did. Kitty blushed furiously.

"I am so sorry Anna, I'm-" She babbled uncomfortably. "I'm going to the shops, do you want anything?" She got to her feet and got her bag and coat. "I'll see you in a couple of hours," Kitty declared, pulling on her boots and leaving the apartment. She went down the staircase and out of the building. Her mind was racing and her cheeks were flushed pink with embarrassment. She nipped into the tesco's on the corner to pick up some milk, cake, icecream, fruit and a large bunch of chrysanthemums as an apology to Anna. She went into town to buy some spritzkuchen from a German bakery and sat in the park, tapping away at her keyboard.

"Jasmine walked up to him. 'I'm sorry, but I know that we both miss each other and we both still love each other. I know that ultimately we belong together to live the life together that we always talked about. If we had one more chance, I know we could make it and finally do it right. I could prove to you that I can love you the way you deserve to be loved... because I can and I will love you more than any other girl would or could . I love you and I miss you.'  he turned around and looked at her. 'What if I'm trying, but then I close my eyes and then I'm right back, remembering that first moment? What  if I'm remembering that last moment and I realized that I didn't love you? What if I realized I NEVER LOVED YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE?' "

Kitty kept walking around town, purchasing some stationary  because she had an unhealthy obsession with notebooks. She was looking intently at her phone before bumping into two people.

"Oh my goodness, I'm so- Clarissa!" Kitty exclaimed, looking up to see Anna's girlfriend kissing the delivery dude, Henry King. "You have a girlfriend!" Clarissa glared at Kitty and pushed Henry away.

"Get. Out. Of. My. Life." Clarissa hissed. "I know Anna ran to you after falling over my heels last night. I know." Kitty hurried back to her flat, unable to shake the feeling that someone was watching and following her. She opened the door, juggling her various bags and boxes through the doorway.

"Sorry I took so long," Kitty smiled shyly as she put the bags down and grabbed the bunch of chrysanthemums. "I... I got you these to apologize for-" Anna smiled.

"Aww thank you Kit, but you didn't have to," Kitty got an empty jam jar to put the flowers in and heard someone knocking at her door. She went to answer the door.

"Clarissa." she said sourly. Kitty didn't want to let on how nervous she was. Her legs felt like jelly and her heart felt all fluttery. She blocked the doorway the best she could with her tiny frame.

"I know she's in there," She snarled maliciously. Clarissa looked past Kitty into the flat. "Babes, where are you?" Kitty didn't want Anna to come and see Clarissa, she wasn't just being selfish, she was trying to keep the arguments to a minimum. Her heart sank as she felt Anna come up behind her. Anna blinked twice.

"Oh, hey Clarrie," She said, slightly puzzled. "Wha-what are you doing here?" Anna was a little nervous.

"I'm here to stop my girlfriend from running off to a random stranger," she snapped. "Get your butt out here, we're going home." Kitty's jaw dropped as Anna shook her head.

"Clarissa Kirk, there is no way I am coming back to your apartment-"

"Oh and now you're staying with Katherine because you fell into my heels," Kitty shrunk back. Clarissa was very intimidating.

"I DIDN'T FALL INTO YOUR HEELS, YOU HIT ME AROUND THE FACE WITH THEM! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU!!" Anna yelled. Kitty stood trembling behind Anna.

"I did nothing, it was all you, you spiteful misleading witch!" Clarissa yelled back.

"If that's what you think..." Anna whispered through gritted teeth. "Then I never want to see you again. Get out of Kitty's house AND GET OUT OF MY LIFE! We're done." Anna declared, slamming the door in Clarissa's face.
