Just The Base

Raymond: "NO! LEAVE MY MOM ALONE!!" I scream out tears streaming down my face.

Let's go back to the beginning, shall we?

Hello, I'm Raymond, my family and I are part of the demon race, one of the many races in the world. You see, I live in a world where there's a demon race, an alien race, a werewolf race, a vampire race, a human race, a superhuman race (those are just humans with superpowers), a witch race, and an angel race. I wish I could say we all live in peace and everyone is accepted, but that would just be downright telling you a lie. Society has made a ranking from best race to worst race; angel race at the top, demon race at the very bottom. Most races see us demons as a threat because most murders are done by demons that gave into the evil that is almost instinct for each and every one of them. It's hard to fight back the evil within, but many do it and succeed; just like I do! There have been so many different protests in so many different years to get demons to have the same likability as every other race, but no one listens to us. The ignoring isn't a surprise.. it's like wolves asking rabbits to be their friends; that would never work despite how much the wolves hope to be friends. I'm a purple demon, I have small pointy jet black horns, no tail, purple eyes, brown hair, fair skin, and sharp teeth. I'm 15, and a sophomore in Obaekniara High. I'm 6'1" and it's just me, my mom, and my 5 year old, red demon, sister. Demons are classified by their eye color. Now- lets start the actual story of when my life gets crazy.

I'm walking through the halls going to chem class when I see my friend, Darius. Darius is one of the most popular kids in the entire school. He has dark skin, baby blue eyes, curly black hair, white angel wings, is 6'5", is part of the angel race, and is in incredible shape; he's just a complete hottie! Most of the girls and even some guys fall for him because of his amazing looks, his straight A's, and he's the nicest guy you'll ever meet!

Raymond: "Hey! Darius! What's up?"

Darius: "Hey Raymond! Nothing much is going on, just heading to math!"

Raymond: "Nice! I'm headed to chemistry. My least favorite subject."

I groan at the thought of going to chem class of all classes. Darius laughs a little at my hate for chemistry.

Darius: "It can't be THAT bad. I for one actually kinda enjoy chemistry."

Raymond: "Well you like school. You don't count!"

Darius: "Hey! You're not wrong.. I do love school.. but I still count!"

Raymond: "Mhm. Okay."

I say that with a slight sarcasm in my voice and then I remembered that I got a new game to play and I wanted to play it with him.

Darius: "Well, hey man, I've gotta get to class. I'll see you around!"

Raymond: "Wait! Before you go! I was meaning to ask.. I got a new game and I wanted to know if you wanted to come over after school and play it with me!"

Darius: "Sure! Now, I really have to get to class! Don't wanna be late!"

Raymond: "Alright! See you later!"

Darius: "See ya!"

I start heading towards my chemistry class again when I decide I don't wanna go and that I'll just skip it. So I turn around and start heading towards the bathroom to hang out there for the period.

I get to the outside of the bathroom and I see my female friend, Sadie, outside of the women's restroom. Sadie is an Irish witch, she's 5'2", has fair skin, has tons of freckles, hazel eyes, and ginger hair. She is an hourglass shape, she's nice but can be judgmental.

Sadie: "Look at the lass over there. Feckin' acting the maggot!"

Raymond: "You're the one skipping class."

Sadie jumps from fright

Sadie: "Jaysis, Raymond! You put the heart crossway in me! I didn't see you there at all!"

Raymond: "Sorry!"

Sadie: "Ah- feck you!"

Raymond: "Well, uh, the weather is pretty bad, huh?"

Sadie: "Sure it is! It's bucketing down!"

Raymond: "Yeah.. well, I'm having Darius come over after school to play a new game I got. Wanna come over as well?"

Sadie: "Sure! I haven't been around your gaff in donkey's years!"

Raymond: "English please!"

Sadie sighs

Sadie: "You feckin moran.. I said I haven't been around your place in a while!"

Raymond: "Thank you."

Sadie flips me off and I dramatically gasp as if sarcastically being offended

Sadie: "Oh shut it!"

Raymond: "Finally your speaking English!"

Sadie: "I was just using sayings that I used to use living in Ireland!"

Raymond: "Well speak English now, please! I taught you English phrases."

Sadie: "Zip it!"

Raymond: "Well.. I'm gonna hide out in the men's restroom. Catch you later!"

Sadie: "Later!"

I walk into the men's bathroom and I just hung out there playing on my phone until I heard the bell ring and I went to my 4th period class; Spanish.

~~Time skip to after school!~~

Raymond: "Mom! I'm home! I'll be in my room with Darius and Sadie! We're gonna play that new game I got!"

Darius, Sadie, and I head upstairs to my room and I turn on my console and put in the new game.

Darius: "This looks like a fun game! I can't wait to play it!"

All three of us played the game until it was around 9:00pm and we all decided it was best if they went home; so I turned off my game, put everything up, and walked them to the door.

Raymond: "Thanks for coming over and playing with me!"

Darius: "Don't mention it!"

Sadie: "Sure."

Raymond: "See you guys around!"

Darius and Sadie: "Bye!"

I head back up to my room, get comfy in my bed, and drift off to sleep thinking about how non-problematic and fun this day has been.
