To my parents

I planted a seed today, it reminded me of you

When I was a sapling, which you watered till it grew

As I looked on, with my feet in the mud

I saw a bird up high, swimming in the air

You taught me the difference between the sky and the ground

And taught me what's not and what is fair

I made a little song, with little happy notes

It read about how you, made me paper boats

In the path called life, I saw winters and summers

And springs and autumns pass into feelings

And I'll forever remember no matter how old I get

You were my first hello and my first greeting,

.

.

.

.

.

I love you.

:)
