Mii chirped on top of Miho's head.
The albino paused mid step. "We need food, Mii-chan, and I can't just leave you alone when you're injured." Closing the door behind him, Miho fiddled with his fedora, giving his partner a smile. "Just stay comfortable up there, Mii-chan! Tell me if you need fresh air, 'kay?" The canary would have given his partner a sigh but he just bobbed his head.
Securing the fedora on his head and making sure not to disturb Mii, Miho went on ahead to do his errand. The both of them burned through last week's stock this morning and the only thing left in his fridge was a carton of expired milk.
He should really throw that away when he gets back.
Where should I go? The supermarket or the public market? Humming as he thinks, the albino began looking around the street as he pondered which market he'd head to. "Oi, brat." A voice called out to him and to his surprise, it was Zack Lee in his usual fashionista getup.
Miho's eyes sparkled. "Zack! It's rare to see you outside of class!" Cause you're usually tailing after Mira. He chuckled to himself at that afterthought. The former boxer was always tailing after his childhood friend like he was some kind of dog. In his eyes, Miho thought that it was kinda cute; albeit a bit creepy.
"Ha?" it came out ruder than Zack intended as his entire hand covered Miho's face. "You're the one rarely seen in public, brat. All that shitty fangirls coming after you makes it difficult, after all." He blinked before furrowing his eyebrows in confusion, a thoughtful look marring Zack's face. "It's a fucking miracle how no one recognizes you when you're not even in disguise."
As if on cue, Zack noticed the growing whispers around them and the people near the duo were starting to point at Miho; quite a bold and rude gesture, he noted rather dismissively.
"That's Miho Di, isn't it?"
"Yeah! Can't mistake that brooding good looks!"
Zack almost scoffed at that, glancing at his friend who still stared at him with that sparkly expression. Brooding? Are they fucking blind? In what part is this brat broody? "Hey, Zack! Let's stop by Moonbucks a bit." Without even letting him protest, the shorter boy dragged him into the cafe just a few buildings down.
As soon as they entered the establishment, he noticed how Miho snapped his fingers and all of a sudden, the staff began cleaning up, leading the few customers out of the cafe and turning the sign over the door. It was promptly locked by one of the employees as soon as the last of the customers stepped out.
The sudden rush left Zack a bit puzzled but as soon as they sat down, he caught glimpse of the window pane. Miho had them sit at a table far from the windows and he finally knew why. A bunch of girls- and were those guys in the crowd?!- were bunched up against the window, talking loudly amongst themselves.
Fuck this shit; are they all crazy?! Because Zack hadn't seen a crowd as crazy as this in his lifetime. Well, except when there's a sale; it's like the entire store becomes a battleground. "Sorry," the crimson-eyed teen spoke up apologetically. "I didn't mean for-" Miho gestured at the crowd lamely. "- that to happen when we bumped into each other."
