~1st Grade~

Y/n Y/l/n giggled as she tagged John's shoulder and yelled "You're it!" Before running away. Lara Jean ran behind Y/n, yelling that John was close by.

She squealed when she felt a hand tap her.

"I got you back! You're it!"

"No!!"

She yelled at rushed after John who was pointing towards Lara Jean.

Y/n quickly reached Lara Jean and tagged her, yelling you're it because quickly running towards John.

That night, Y/n slept over at Lara Jean's house. As Lara Jean was in the kitchen grabbing snacks with her dad, Y/n sat on the couch thinking.

She may have been young, but she knew, she was in love with John Ambrose.

~Present Day~

"Christine! Give me that!"

Y/n yelled at one of her best friends as Christine has taken her phone and was looking at her texts.

"Aww look at the way you two are talking"

"Like friends? What's cute about that? Now give me!"

Y/n grabbed the phone out of her hands and quickly closed out of the texts between her and John...oh yeah, she had gotten his number for the two had stayed friends through the years. When he went to a different school, they had kept in touch.

"Hey guys"

Lara Jean greeted as she reached the girls.

"LJ!"

Both girls piped up and hugged the girl.

"Are you ready Y/n/n?"

The said girl nodded and picked up her bag, swinging it over her shoulder.

Lara Jean and Y/n waved to Christine as they walked off towards the senior home.

Once there, they met Stormy at the desk who was more than excited to see the girls. She dragged them to the 'party' room and there stood John Ambrose. Lara Jean and Y/n both gasped as they saw him, he smiled at the girls before starting to walk over.

Stormy smiled and left the room, leaving the three teens.

"Hi"

"Hi John"

Y/n could immediately feel the awkward tension between Lara Jean and John.
