It was an hour after the hospital catastrophe. The cops never came, but they were there for one of the doctors. They had information about something. They had brought them back to where they were staying. "Listen, we could do this the hard way, or the easy way" Jerome said. The doctor stayed silent. Eventually, Jerome gave up and left the room. They would have asked Jervis, but he was taking care of something. Jonathan went in there with his fear gas to try and get the answer out of the doctor. Just as Jonathan was about to spray the doctor with the gas, (Y/n) ran in and grabbed his arm to try and stop him. "Stop it! Let me try." She said. Jonathan back up. "Alone?" She said as he nodded and left the room. (Y/n) looked at the doctor. "Listen... we don't have much time. We need this simple answer. If you tell me, nobody will get hurt. Do you understand?" She asked. The doctor nodded. "Good. Now, can you tell me the code to the vault with the medicine?" She asked once more. The doctor nodded. "37291" he said. "Thank you." She said as she got up. "Are you going to untie me now?" He asked. "Oh yea I almost forgot. I lied. We can't have you telling the police, now can we?" She said as she left the room. "Did you get the code?" Jonathan asked. "Yep. You can go do whatever you want to him now." (Y/n) said.

(Y/n) sat in the room with all the lab equipment while Freeze and Jerome went back to the hospital to get whatever was in the vault. She stared at the lab equipment and spaced out for a bit. She went back to normal when she heard a knock at the door. "Come in." She said quietly. She looked in the direction of the door to see Jonathan walking in. "Need something?" She asked. "Not really. I was just looking for you." He said. "You should've known I'd be in here." She said. He nodded and looked out the window. "Are they still at the hospital?" (Y/n) asked, causing him to look at her. "Yea." He replied. She nodded and looked at the ground.

Jonathan took off his mask and looked back at the window. "Hey, can I ask you something?" (Y/n) asked. "Sure." He said, looking at her again. "What was it like in Arkham?" She asked, looking at him. "When you usually have to stay in your cell all the time, it's quiet. You never have anybody to talk to. The guards hardly ever come around. Oh, and not to mention, the food there is horrible." He said, laughing a bit at the last part. (Y/n) let out a laugh. "I bet it is." She said. "I have a question for you now." Jonathan said. "Hm?" She raised an eyebrow. "Why did you decide to join us?" He asked. "I guess... I guess I never felt like I belonged at the lab. But here, people make me feel like I belong here. Besides Jerome." She said as she rolled her eyes. "He will get used to you." Jonathan said.

The two of them spent the rest of the time asking each other questions until the other two came back. "Do you remember that time when we were 8. We were in my backyard playing hide n seek. I was hiding behind this big bush and then I saw a snake. It's funny because I didn't scream like a normal girl would. I picked up the snake and hid with it until you found me." (Y/n) said with a chuckle. "When I did find you I was the one to scream when I saw the snake." Jonathan said. "I ended up keeping him. He died a year later" She said. Suddenly, the door burst open. "Hey, get to the dining room." Jerome said before leaving. The two nodded then left the room.

They sat down at the table. "Ok, so," Jerome said, telling everybody the plan. (Y/n) got bored and fell asleep halfway through. Nobody bothered to wake her up. Once Jerome was finished, everybody left. "(Y/n). Wake up." Jonathan said, tapping her shoulder. She stayed asleep. He sighed and picked her up. He carried her to her room, making sure nobody like Jerome saw him.

Once he got to her room, he set her down on her bed. He quickly walked to the door. "Jonathan.." she mumbled in her sleep. "Hm?" He turned around to still see her asleep. He shrugged and opened the door. As he left he thought about why he she would say his name. 'She was probably just sleep talking' he thought. He let out a sigh.

The next day, (y/n) woke up and looked around her room. "How did I get here...?" She mumbled to herself. She shrugged and walked out of the room. She glanced out the window. It looked like it was still pretty early, so she tried to be quiet. She walked around to see if anybody else was awake. Once, she found out she was the only one, she walked to the lab-like room. She walked in to see somebody sleeping on the chair. It was Jonathan. He had probably fallen asleep while making more fear gas, as usual. (Y/n) shrugged and leaned on the desk. It was quite boring there when nobody was awake. She walked over to the chair where Jonathan was and tried waking him up. "Jonathan. Wake up." She whisper yelled. Once he didn't wake up, she took off her mask to see if he could wake up easier. 'Aww he's adorable when he sleeps' she thought to herself. She paused for a moment and stared at the ground. She quickly shook the thought out of her head and looked back at Jonathan. "I'll just let him sleep." She said to herself.

She leaned back on the desk and looked around the room. She looked at the window and walked over to it. She opened it to see a bird on a nearby tree. It looked like a crow. She looked at it until it flew over to the windowsill. "Hello there." She looked at it and pet it a bit. The crow looked at her and flew into the room and onto the table. (Y/n) closed the window. "What should I name you?" She thought for a moment. "How about Ornith? Short for Ornithophobia. The fear of birds. Sound good?" She said as the bird squawked once more.
