Jonathan was waiting in the lobby of the hospital. He could remember very well of the event from last night. He could also remember that he had helped out the woman from the broken car and seeing lights coming towards them. He remembers the ambulance pull up and two men putting her on a gurney. He had volunteered to join them in the ambulance to make sure she was alright, even though he didn't know her.
When they had arrived at the hospital, the two men in the ambulance quickly rolled her gurney into the building. He went inside as well and had told the man behind the reception desk that he was with the woman he helped from the car accident. The man then told him to wait in the lobby for the time being.
He was tapping his foot patiently when he saw two nurses come up to him. They had started to tell him that the lady that he helped from the accident had underwent the surgery and was able to survive. They also mentioned that she was still recovering from the crash and that it would take a while for her wounds to heal. He thanked them for telling him and sighed with relief.
"She's lucky to survive after getting shot in the head, the bullet had only lodged itself in the skull. It will take her a while to recover.", the first nurse said to him.
"Do you want to see her right now, she's currently awake and you still have enough time before visiting hours are over.", the other nurse said to him.
"Yeah I'll go and see her right now.", he replied to the nurse and yawned before getting up from the chair he was sitting on in the hall. He then proceeded to go to the woman's room that she was currently held in.
He opened the door and saw her laying down on her hospital bed. He could see a large bandage wrapped around the area where he had seen the bullet hole. He couldn't believe she was able to make it through surgery when they were taking the bullet out of her skull. He also saw some bandages wrapped around her arms, possibly from the impact of the crash.
He went to the side of bed and looked at her more closely, wondering if she saw him enter the room. The woman who was staring at the blank tv screen noticed him and turned her head slowly to look at him.
"Are you the one who saved me...?", she asked him in an emotionless voice.
"Yes, I am. I couldn't just leave you in the car wreck.", he replied back to her. "I hope that you're doing alright.", he said to her.
She nodded her head and said, "I'm doing alright despite the fact I had just got out from surgery and the cuts on my arms still hurt."
"That's good, just came to see how you were doing before I leave. Do you remember what happened before you got shot?", he asked her.
"I can't remember much other than that it felt like it happened in an instant.", she replied back to him.
He sighed in relief and looked at the clock on the wall seeing that it was almost midnight. He started to feel a bit worn out and told her that he would need to leave soon and wished her goodnight. She waved him goodbye as he went out of her room.
He starts to walk down the hall and sees a man with short blonde hair and green eyes wearing a long brown trench coat. The man then rudely pushed past him as he went down the hall.
"Asshole...", Jonathan muttered under his breath as he got into the elevator and went down to the lobby.
After stepping out of the elevator, he gets stopped by two police men who had just arrived at the hospital.
"Hello sir, did you see what happened this evening?", they asked him.
"You mean the car accident?", he said to them in response.
"Yes, we would like you to come with us for some questioning. We believe you may be able to help us.", they said to him.

It was the next morning and Evan had just woken up from his slumber. He was in the bathroom drying off from taking a warm shower. He looked at himself in the mirror and rubbed his eyes, thinking that what Brian had told him was all a dream.
After drying off, he went to get himself dressed so he could go to the precinct that was in the city. Brian had already told them about how his partner had asked the injured lady about what happened. Along with telling Evan that Jonathan would be at the precinct for questioning.
As a detective, he must act professional when he goes to question Jonathan. He will have to wait for the questioning to be over and done with then properly greet him.
He gets into his car starts to drive to the precinct. It only took about fifteen minutes to get there and he gets out of his car then goes inside. He sees one of the officers there and asks them where the witness was being questioned at. They point him towards the direction and Evan goes to where they pointed at.
He arrives at a door which led to one of the questioning rooms. He put his ear against the door to see if he could hear anyone talking. After that, he goes right in and sees Jonathan sitting there looking down at the ground.
"Hello Mr. Dennis, I'll be here to ask you questions on what you witnessed.", Evan said to him as he took a seat across from him.
Jonathan then looked up and his eyes widen in shock. Jonathan couldn't believe that after so many years, he saw his high school best friend sitting across from him.
"E-Evan?", he said surprised.
