Brock had recently been dropped off back at his home after finishing answering questions at the precinct. It didn't take too long, only about twenty to thirty minutes. He thought that the reason why questioning was done early was that Brian had to handle another case about a car crash.

He was also a bit surprised as Brian was when he had received the news about a car crash. When Brian was driving him back home, they didn't talk too much except for when they tried to talk about something else.

So now that Brock was home, he decided to just make something to eat for himself and to just watch something on tv. He saw that there was a game show on and figured he would watch it while he ate.

Once he got done making his food, he went to sit on the sofa while he ate his dinner and watch the game show. That's when he heard a text notification from his phone and went to get his phone out of his pocket. He saw it was from an unknown number and noticed that the area code number was different as well. He wondered if someone had accidentally texted him by mistake until he read the message which made him turn pale.

"I bet you're wondering who this is, that's not important. But what's important is that you keep your mouth shut about the accident or I'll rip your fucking mouth off!"

Brock eyes widen in terror, surely this is some sick prank he wondered. But could it be something else? He wondered if this person who sent the text knows about what happened when his truck almost got stolen but why would he need to keep his mouth shut?

He decided that he needed to tell someone about this, someone who would keep it a secret. He wanted to tell Jonathan and sends a quick message to him about the text he got. He figured that Jonathan was busy and would look at the message later. Then he went to his contacts to call Brian, knowing he could probably do something to help while Jonathan was busy.

Brian had went back to the precinct after he had dropped off Brock back at his home. He did have to look at the case about a car crash his partner informed him about. He was only told that there was one witness and that the crash happened in the city where Evan was going to. He gave Evan a quick call about it and hung up once they were done talking.

He arrived at the precinct and walked in to collect the case file then went to his office. He sat at his desk and layed his head down on the desk.

"Fuck me, first the attempted grand theft auto and now this? Why is this week filled with crimes involving cars that I have to deal with.", he said to himself as he opened the case file.

As he read more of the case file about the car crash, he heard his phone start going off and answered it.

"Hello, you're speaking to someone who's whole week is full of cars. Who's this?", he said exhausted.

Brock had to hold back a chuckle but also felt bad for how busy Brian was. "It's me Brock, I just received some weird text from someone threatening me to keep my mouth shut. Do you think you can help me figure it out who might be?"

"Yeah I'll see what I can do, just send me a screenshot of the message and I'll get back to you once I figured it out. Although it'll probably take a while to get back as I'm dealing with something else.", Brian replied back.

"Sure thing, I'll also send more screenshots of any texts from that number. See you later.", Brock said and hung up after Brian replied back with a goodbye.

He saw the screenshot of the message that Brock had send him. He saw that the area code was somewhere in North Carolina, he figured he would look up to who sent the text to Brock later. After reading the text message, he went back to reading the rest of the file and coming up with possible reasons as to how the car crash occurred for the next thirty minutes.

Once his shift was done, he drove back home with the file. He figured he would look at it again tomorrow but for now he needed some sleep. He arrived home and saw the same thing the place was before, it's like the night that happened was just yesterday.

He remembered how his girlfriend had left that night, throwing things at him while she took her stuff with her. He had just came home that night when he saw her with another man in his bed. He was enraged and immediately kicked the other guy out while she begged him to stop.

He went to sit on the sofa which had a red wine stain on it, he didn't know why he wanted to keep the living room looking like the way it was. But he knew that deep down, he felt empty inside. Like someone had just punched him straight in the gut. It was a horrible feeling he had every time when he returned home.

He felt the sting of tears as they welled up in his eyes and started to cry silently to himself. He always thought his girlfriend was the one for him. He remembered the promises he kept with her, the happy memories, and how much fun he had with her by his side. But when he saw her with that man, he felt betrayed by the person he loved.

"Anna, why did you betray me...? Did our love not matter anymore...? Did I do something to hurt you...? Why didn't you give me a reason why...?", he said to himself as he continued to cry until he felt the exhaustion take over and he slowly fell into a deep sleep.
