Chapter twenty-five: Narration

Twas two days before the dance, and all through the school
Most students were scrambling, even the mutants
The children were running and looking for dates,
in hopes that they won't be alone for that wonderful night.

The children were asking, begging and pleading,
while some said no, for visions of others danced in their heads.
And those left sad, while others were happy,
For someone they liked had agreed to go.
*^*^***^*^^
Tis true, the students were left looking for dates. Some, like Percy Jackson or Bobby Drake, had an easy time, for they simply went with their girlfriends.

Others, like Leo Valdez, Sam Alexander, Kurt Wagner and Sam Wilson, were not so lucky.

Kurt, could not get Kitty to say yes.

Sam Alexander could not find a date he didn't annoy.

Sam Wilson was to busy to find a date, and most girls though he was Hawkeye.

And Leo Valdez.....was just Leo Valdez.

These four weren't the only ones without it dates, as there were many more. Peter Pevenise couldn't decide who to say yes to, and Edmund was an outcast everyone sort of forgot. Jason Grace had plenty admirers, but was in a race with Cole to see who Piper would say yes to. Ron Weasley had a fight with Hermione, and was going with Lavender Brown instead. Hermione was going with Peter Parker. And Harry, poor Harry, was going with a Aphrodite girl, much to his dislike.

Now, let's look at two boys, as they are the focus. Let's see how easily they'll earn dates of their own...............*swishing music*

Leo Valdez

I sat, somewhat sad a bored at the lunch table. Everyone around me had dates for the dance. Sure, it wasn't a new thing, but still!! No one wants to go with Leo Mc'Sizzle Man Valdez?

"Cheer up buddy. I'll probably end up alone too." I glared at Jason.

"No you won't."

"Yea......I probably won't." Frank shrugged.

"Maybe there's a flaming headed girl out there for you somewhere Valdez." Yea, cause you took the girl who actually liked me Zhang!!

"Cheer up Leo." Hazel said. I sighed.

"Whatever. I'm gonna talk to Iroh." I stood up and walked out.

"Eh em."

"I'm heading to the Guidance Counselors office, and my problems are none of your concerns." I said, before Umrbigde could say anymore. I heard her huff behind me and I rolled my eyes. I was not in the mood.

"Hey Leo!"

"Hey." I waved at the girl, barely wondering how she knew my name. She ran after me.

"Um...so I was just wondering...."

"Can this wait? I'm sorta not in the Christmas spirt." A blue mutant, with elf ears and a Devils tail, appeared above us, leaning on the window.

"Look who's under the mistletoe!!" The girl glared at him.

"Back off Kurt!!" The boy laughed and vanished. I sighed. Mutants were weird.

"Anyway Leo, I was just wondering-."

"Leo my boy!" I grinned, turning around.

"Iroh." The old wise dude chuckled.

"Good to see you again. And Merry Christmas!!" Iroh smiled at the girl.
