14. Forgiveness

Daniel POV

I was going through a file of a newly signed contract when Owen came in “Sir we found the girl”. She is right now in New Jersey and ..” I didn’t let him complete “Get her arrested.” “OK Sir” he nodded and left.

I was now sitting in my mansion when I got a call from Owen.

Owen - “Sir the girl was not arrested because Mrs. Dixon asked the officer’s to withdraw the complain and to not arrest her”

Me – OK

I ended the call and dialled my mom’s number.

Me – “Why did you ask to withdraw the complain after what she did to me?”

Mom – “No hello nothing?”

Me – “Mom”

Mom – “Ok listen boy I met my old college friend today, we were having a good time when the cops came in to arrest her daughter, I asked her why did she do that but it turns out that she didn’t do it on purpose it was a mistake for which she and her family had already apologize to me a lot of times. And Mary is one of my good friend’s I don’t want to ruin friendship with her.”

Me – “So if she is your friend’s daughter she has the right to insult me?”

Mom – “I said she was feeling sorry. She is a good person son. It was just a mistake please let it go. I think I had taught you to forgive small mistakes. Her parent’s also said sorry and they even said if you want they will meet personally and ask for your forgiveness. I had already talked to your Grand Pa regarding this. He is also ready to forgive her. What’s the problem with you.”

Me – “You told Grand Pa”

Mom – “Yes”

Me – “If he is ok with it then I have no problem”

Mom – “Oh my son, I am so proud of you. Mary will be so happy. You know her daughter’s is ….”

Me – “Ok bye mom”

I ended the call because I knew if I continued the call she will keep on talking. I don’t want to know about that crazy girl.

It will be good for her if she stays out of my life. I don’t want any more crazy stupid things in my life again.

My phone beeped again it was a message from Mia. She wants to meet me she has some important things to discuss
