6. Called off

Daniel’s POV

“Mike I am asking you something answer me, what’s  wrong now?

“Somebody had taken the video of the incident and now it’s viral” He ended with his eyes on the floor and hands in his pockets. My eyes were widen in shock and when I turned in anger I took the first thing on my table which was my Laptop and threw it away without any mercy. Mike didn’t utter a word because he knew that when I am angry I am not a good person to deal with.

I shouted “OWEN” and he immediately came running inside my cabin and looked at the scattered laptop on the floor. “Just take off the video right now” He nodded and left.

My phone started ringing I looked at the caller ID and it was from my Grandpa. I took the call.
D – Hello Grandpa

G – You better start with an explanation boy.

D – It was some stupid girl; I assure you I will clean this mess before the party.

G – Do you even know what everyone is talking about; I got so many calls telling me about my Grand Son was been insulted in his office by a housekeeping staff. Is this the image of a CEO in his office? Anyone can insult a Dixon? Have you seen the comments on the video? People are saying you are a womanizer; you have a very low dignity that you didn’t even spare a housekeeping girl.

D – I am so sorry you had to go through these things. I will definitely clear things out.

G – I had call to inform you that I had called off the party tonight. We will be the laughing stalk in our own party. I am so ashamed of you. You are not even able to handle situation like this? I didn’t expect this from you.

He ended the call and I was hurt because of that one stupid girl my grandfather’s birthday celebration was ruined. It was special because he was turning 80yrs today. I will not spare her I swear.

It was 5pm in the evening me and mike was sitting inside my mansion and having a drink. My phone started ringing Mike looked at the caller ID and said it was Mia. I gestured him with my hand to cut the call. I had got calls from my parent’s which I didn’t pick because I knew what they would be asking. Mike got a call and he stood up and attended the call.

After some time he came back and said “A reporter had came for some business magazine work in the office he was there at that time of the incident took your video and posted on the internet. I am telling you this media people is all crazy. The video has been taken off from the internet and the news has been cleared.”

“If she comes in front of me now I will kill her. She is the one who caused this much trouble to me and my family. She has signed her death warrant.”

“Okay now clam down we are not murderer’s, It’s just all happened, I think she didn’t know who you were and she was trying to escape and you came in front and she threw water on you. Let’s give some time everyone will forget what happened within 2, 3 days.”

“Mike It was the first time my Grandpa said he is ashamed of me. It hurts very much. I will never forget” I was looking at the glass in my hand. I don’t know how to make things right I was feeling very annoyed and dejected.
