18. Dance with Stranger

Bella’s POV

I reached our table where Emma and Charlie were chitchatting and they were looking fine. I think they are enjoying the party which is good I wanted them to enjoy and feel relaxed. “hey so you both are enjoying the party, good” they both looked at me “Where were you?” Charlie asked.
I was gone to meet Sam’s girlfriend.

The music started palying and some couples started dancing. Sam brought Mia and started dancing with her. Emma looked at them and then turned to me “was that the girl you were talking about?” “Yep”

I took a sip of my drink. When I saw a guy smiling at me. Am I dreaming or a handsome guy just gave me a smile? I turned around to face my friends. “Can I have a dance with you?” Charlie asked Emma. They both left for the dance floor. Great now I was left all alone.

The guy came to my table and took a seat. “Hey I haven’t met you yet, my name is Tom” he gestured for a handshake. “Myself Bella” I gave him a handshake. He turned my hand upside down in a flip and kissed  which took me by surprise. “Excuse me beautiful would you like to dance with me” he asked me. I was looking at him and then at his hands then I was just staring at him like did he really ask me?

“Just one dance please” he requested this time and I was not in a mood to turn down a handsome guy so I agreed and left with him to the dance floor.

“May I ask you who do you know here?” he asked while dancing. “Sam, he is my cousin”. “I was just asking because I am a party animal type I have attended a lot of parties but never came across a beautiful face like yours” I chuckled at his statement. “ahh that was creepy” we both laughed and we were chatting about random stuff most of the time he was flirting but I enjoyed it because it was an harmless flirt afterall. “I must say you are a good dancer” he whispered in my ears and turned stiff in my position. Now he was very close to me which got the whole dance a little awkward. “Thanks, I thanked him and he was back to his normal position which brought back my normal and calm self.

We danced till song ended. After that we were about to go back when someone asked Emma for another dance I was not able to see his face because he was facing Emma and me and Charlie was facing his back.

Charlie and I left the dance floor and went towards an empty table to sit.
When Emma finished dancing with the guy she came back to us but was not in a good mood. I was about to ask her but was cut off “Hey aren’t you going to meet Daniel for apologizing” Charlie asked and I realized that I totally forgot that thing.

I got up from my seat and looked around for Daniel but he was nowhere to be found.  

I went looking for him and when I was about to turn I bumped onto someone. “Hey beautiful just be careful” he said holding me from falling. “Sorry I was…” when I looked at him I was speechless. He was that handsome guy with Daniel that night.

“We meet again Bella, you remember me right?” he asked and I was still staring at him like a fool.

“Don’t worry I will not hit you again with the car look I am not even driving” he raised both his hands which made me laugh “ahh.. no no.. I was just sorry” I was blushing.

“Would you like to have a drink” he took a glass of drink from the counter and offered it and got one for himself. “No its ok actually I came with my friends they are waiting for me” I thanked him for the offer. “Actually I forgot your name, you are?”

“Mike Taylor” he greeted for a handshake. I accepted it with a smile

“Bella Wilson”

“It’s a beautiful party the decorations are classy don’t you think so?” he said and I was smiling internally. “Thank you”

“For” he asked

“Actually I am an event manager and my company has organised the party” I said proudly to him.

“Ohh then I need to really appreciate for your good work” now I was liking him. He is handsome, charming and he is appreciated my work which is a plus point for him in my good books.

“You are a businessman?” I asked him to make a conversation “Yes my company deals in construction business mainly and we have other sectors also”

“So you met Sam during events?” all of a sudden he asked which I felt a little weird but might be he was trying to have a conversation. “No actually we are cousins”

“WHAT” he chocked while drinking and tried to gulp down the information I had given. What was wrong with I being Sam’s sister? First Mia and now him.

“Youuu…. I mean you are his cou.. cousin?” he stammered while asking.
“Yes” I answered in a bore tone. “Ok I need to get somewhere urgently bye” he said and walked away to find someone.
